"...and the allegation is that they, in fact, threw her down the stairs,"
I laughed so loudly when I read that I had to lie to everyone in the office about what I was laughing at. |
|
"According to court paperwork, the woman told police she "was unable to remain in an upright condition" and she had "no control over her body."
Translation: They raped her asshole so hard she lost control of her sphincter muscle and shit herself.
This article is chock full of great quotes.

This is pretty fucked up -- I was in Distrust for a little while and knew Shawn pretty well. I haven't seen the dude for probably 5 years though. Never thought he could be a rapist. |
|
WTF?
I did some rehearsing with Distrust about 6 years back as well. Can't say that I knew Shawn that well one way or another. |
|
he didn't rape her.
and I haven't seen him in that long either, but if you have ever seen him drunk... |
|
I remember reading an interview with one of the Distrust guys in Transcending the Mundane (great mag, helped get me into the underground stuff) where the dude said "yeah it's a chopped up girl on the album cover, but we don't really beat women" [paraphrased cause it was years ago] |

Who knows what happened. And yes, I know what you mean about him and booze -- not a good mix. |

How long ago were you with them? |
|
Long enough where I can't remember.
I played with the original line-up for awhile (when it was a hardcore band), then their drummer quit, then Metal Josh joined the band, then the remaining members quit (they didn't like Josh), then it was me on guitar, Josh on drums and Shawn on vocals. Then I had enough of Josh and quit.
Fast forward 2 or 3 years (I think) and I rejoined as a 2nd guitar with the new line-up. That didn't last very long, I quit and then I started with Life at Zero.
Last time I saw Shawn was at a Bombshelter show (can't remember which one) and when did that close? 3 years ago? |
|
Yeah, sounds like a long time ago.
I did some rehearsing with them back in 2002, about a year before the start of my Blackout Frenzy days. |

Mr. Currier forcibly held her down, and both individuals sexually assaulted her.
|
? |
|
Ha, I remember him. Has a kid if I remember correctly. They weren't so bad at first when they were a hardcore band, but really sucked when they had that first cd come out. |
|
brian izzi was in that band for a little bit. haha |
|
oops, I guess he allegedly got his dick wet. |

really? what a man......or not. |

It's unclear. "Sexual assault" can cover many things, but in the eyes of the law, participating in a rape = one becomes a rapist.
Sad.
Rape sucks. The only exception is when a tribe invades a dumber tribe and rapes the shit out of them, raising the average IQ. |
