Lately I've been brainstorming about what I'm going to write about for my next novel.
Let me know if this is interesting or completely idiotic:
Takes place about 10 years from now, during the onset of WWIII. Humanity is on the brink of destruction, as WWIII unfolds and certain catastrophes occur. Anyway, things are more organized than you'd think, as the NWO is in complete control (New World Order for those people who don't know). The main character struggles through certain battles, but begins to understand the truth behind the war and the NWO.
Here's where it gets whacked though - at the end, he'll discover the real truth about it, and it's that Neanderthal man is plotting the destruction of homo sapiens. We've believed our whole lives that they were wiped out, but all along, they've been in complete control and are seeking dominance in this world.
This is just a premises of the story in a very early phase. Could be really corny, could be awesome if it's done correctly.

That's actually could be an interesting concept. Crucial to the corny vs. awesome battle would be establishing an awesome way that the Neanderthal population hid out for so long and still survived.

You should feature the guy from the Guico commercials as the main Neanderthal dictator.
