what are your experiences with them?

I need one for 7000 bucks this semester, should i just take one out for one semester, or for two?

I had 5 years time $3K and they were the ones that interest started immediately. actually there was something about $500 starting after I graduate and the rest immediately. when I got out of college I gave 700 for a couple months and then 1500 for about a year or so. I paid them off in 18 months (only one month did I not send them a payment). then I was done in 18months instead of 10 years. 10 years would have cost me over $36k. by living with my dad and paying everything I made to loans, I paid them off quickly. also, having a skill that people wanted/needed helped.

so should i take what i need for this semester or should i take out enough for both semesters?

and who did you use?

p.s. why the fuck do they ask me what i make and my debt to savings ratio and credit score...? I'm not going to be making the same amount of money when I have to start paying in 4 years from now...so why does it even matter for eligibility.

cause they want to know how much of a risk you are currently. If you have lived with your pparents for more than 6 months in the past 3 years, they are going to count your parents $$$ against you (thank you bill clinton).

If I remember how it was when I took it, you had to apply each semester. what sort of loans are you doing? If they start accruing immediately, then you should wait until the beginning of each semester.

I took out loans each semester. It was only about 1,600 each time but i was approved for around 2,300. So a couple semesters i just did the 1,600 and then once i did it for like 2,100 so i had some extra cash since i was broke. I had to do a part time semester which was only 800 but i was still approved for the 2,300 so they did that as a whole other loan which went in at a lower fixed interest rate than my other loan which was variable.

So now i owe around $6,500. Because i did the separate loan for the part time semester i'm gonna have to pay around $160 for 18 months and then after that i'll be paying $74 bucks for another 9 years.

It's around 9 grand if i pay the minimums. fuckin sucks

I don't even want to think about my student loans.

don't let them collect interest. It all gets capitalized quarterly and you'll see the debt rise higher than Babel's Tower. Shit happened to me, and now I pay more in student loan debt than my rent.

Get scholarships if you can. Go to state schools. BEWARE HIGHER EDUCATION!

granted, I have a great job partly b/c of my Master's but even if I'd never gone to college and was still working at 7-11 at least my net worth would be higher.

call the waaaaa-mbulance!

I'm already enrolled in SNHU the most expensive school in nh 17,700 for one fucking semester...yesterday i had an awakening and was like "what the fuck did i do that for???"

I kind of want to drop out and take a year off and then go to salem state (education major) but I don't want to work 40 hours a week and save 0 dollars anymore...

I don't even think I'll get a private loan...no cosigner...they foreclosed on my mom's house because her boyfriend ditched her and left her with the mortgage.

wish I lived in europe...

I think my total damage is about 15K. I pay $166/month after consolidating two loans that totaled about $260/month. My job gives me a fuckin sweet bonus once a year for having a Bachelors Degree and that $$$ more than pays for my yearly loan sum.
