A little info on the guitar. Obviously its a jackson kelly std loaded with an emg81 and 85. A floating floyd rose trem. The whole body was sanded down to the wood by me and coated with some oil to preserve the wood. A lot of cake was put into this guitar by me. Best reasonable offer takes it. Includes hard shell case.

Interesting indeed. What model is that? I can't really tell because of the wood stripes [I'm assuming are glued together :(] but is that neck-through? It could just as easily be set-neck or bolt on but I'm curious. Oh and how much for teh lulz?

It's japanese and a bolt on. I guess that 2 strikes huh? However the guitar smokes and harmonic squeels are effortless. I have got a lot of complements on this thing at shows. As far as how much I want, I don't know bu will field all reasonable offers.

I'm guessing you'd pay for the labor that was put into this guitar as well as the hardware and electronics. As far as the oil, I'm sure it's some kind of preservative. I'd argue against powerkoks statement of the value of the guitar being sanded off. It's like they say, to each their own. I think this guitar looks better and probably sounds better because of the paint being stripped off. Never-the-less, this guitar is one of the sickest looking I've ever seen. Nice job man.

Theres no point in arguing. Its a fact. Once you alter any original part, it is no longer of the same value as it was before.
It may be better than it was originally, but the book value of the guitar goes down, no matter what.

Why would it sound better without paint?
If anything, it would sound worse. Less mass, less sound. Its a small part of the sound, and probably wont be noticed, but to say its better is a stretch.

I ask about the oil, because 'some oil's can ruin a guitar. Is it Tung oil, or some machine oil with silicas in it? Theres a big difference.

Anyway....its a Jap Kelly. Nice guitar. Look it up on ebay, then subtract 100-150 for the paint malady.
See those slabs of wood in that thing? Thats why they painted that thing in the first place.
Usually a guitar that is painted at the factory, is painted for a good reason.
Its wood/grain is unattractive. This is an example of that.
I dont know how a slab 5 pc Alder body looks 'sick' to you. But I dont judge people.

I agree. I love the natural wood look of an axe. In fact, I would have offered to buy it except I have zero justifiable reason for another axe.
