can't go wrong with DQ
Big Dipper (Dover)
Annabelle's (portsmouth)
Izzy's (portsmouth)

Coldstone creamery=RIP OFF

toggletoggle post by Martins   at Jul 14,2008 3:52pm
Ya honestly Coldstone isn't that good.

J.P. Licks RULES, though. Like it's now my favorite ice cream in the area and I've tried a ton of ice cream.

far fars in duxbury
dairy twist in pembroke
peaceful meadows in bridgewater and plymouth.

toggletoggle post by Godlessrob at Jul 14,2008 3:53pm
peacful meadows - backed
coldstone - I hear good and bad things about it I was going to check out the one in plymouth

toggletoggle post by grizloch   at Jul 14,2008 4:00pm
one of my ex girfriends took me to coldstone once, I played it cool with my fat bodied self and orded a large, damn near fucking died trying to eat it all... I like the idea of an ice cream place doing what I do at home by mixing weird stuff into ice cream, but Im not paying 8 bones for it...

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 14,2008 4:01pm
the cotton candy ice cream at stonecold's is probably the most bland ice cream i've ever eaten.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jul 14,2008 4:01pm
aaron and i got coldstone after seeing hellboy 2 in newington and it was almost $9 for 2 ice creams i had a small and we didn't know how it worked...i made the mistake of having them add nuts to me ice cream..i didn't realized they put it on the stone and mash it up and you lose half of it on the damn stone
blah..also blueberry batter was way to heavy on my tummy

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 14,2008 4:01pm
go to bedford farms and kimball's farms. also the long beach dairy maid in rockport is good.

toggletoggle post by aril at Jul 14,2008 4:10pm
my friend's parents own peaceful meadows and we get free ice cream all the time. ftw

toggletoggle post by tylor at Jul 14,2008 4:11pm

Frosty Freez!

once upon a time the greatest ice cream place ever existed in Auburn. The Dairy Haus was from another world. but it was torn down to make way for a car dealership that failed miserably. serves them right. now the only one left around there is Ronnie's, which is awesome.

toggletoggle post by aril at Jul 15,2008 10:50am
Handy Hill (I think?) near Horseneck Beach has some sick ice cream.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jul 15,2008 10:51am
i don't like Coldstone, its over priced mediocre ice cream, and i don't need a fruity ass song with my order. unless they are going to sing me some death metal song called "I Scream" or something.

kimball's farms

that place is awesome. the flies and cowshit smell only add to the experience.

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Jul 15,2008 10:57am
Richardson's is awesome.[most of the places that say they make homemade ice cream its actually
richardson's.] if you go to the orginal one in Middletown MA get a kiddie or a small cause their
ice cream are huge.

If you like gelato try Dolce Freddo Gelato in Methuen

I am shocked and astounded that no one has mentioned Harrell's in Northampton. Absolutely without peer. Their "burnt sugar n butter" flavor lengthens me. I take mine in the form of a milkshake float (yes- a milkshake with an additional scoop thrown in for good leverage... true vice knows not moderation!) with crushed Heath at the bottom.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 15,2008 11:07am
the icecream at cold stone was too heavy and slimy.

toggletoggle post by aril at Jul 15,2008 11:08am
I'm currently leaving my office to travel to Harrell's and get exactly what you just said. it sounds THAT good.

DAMN, if i were at work yesterday, i would have mentioned Herrell's. Shits the BOMB. There's always a line down the street for it on the weekends. I live less than a mile from it which isnt a good thing at ALL.

kimball's is the best. the largest selection, best ice cream, 2 mini golf courses, bumper boats, and a par 3 golf course. and a petting zoo.

only 30 minutes from worcester and 45 mins from the NH border off of 495!

[/whore]

kimball's is the shit

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Jul 15,2008 1:55pm
JP Licks can JP-lick-my-nutsack. That place is way too expensive for anybody but rich BU kids to eat there.

Frozen Freddies on Washington St. in Quincy is the ultimate ice cream place.

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Jul 15,2008 4:44pm
hodgie's and hodgie's at the beach is damn good too.

Heidi's in Hanson is fucking delicious. Some place in Lawrence that I can't remember how to spell is amazing as well. Findysen's I think? A small is maybe $2.50 and it looks like someone scooped a container of Ben & Jerry's onto a tiny cone. So much ice cream! Cotton candy and cake batter flavors put me in a good place.

toggletoggle post by John_Locke  at Jul 15,2008 5:35pm
the only thing anyone in the world needs is an oreo browny earthquake from DQ with chocolate icecream and peanutbutter sauce.

Yeah I saw the one in Salem but haven't checked it out yet. I forgot that part of Methuen looks like Lawrence, haha; close enough I guess.

there's a place called "shelly's" or "sherry's" or something like that next to a kia dealership on rt. 9 in shrewsbury. their milky way ice cream might be the best thing to have ever happened to food since fire.

toggletoggle post by Mike_K at Jul 16,2008 10:13am
Meltharbs in Wakefeild is godly. Its right over by the middle school I think. Their coffee-oreo is amazing, as are their sundays and banana splits.

I also can never pass up Ben & Jerry's

I worked at the kimball farm in westford for about 2 summers when I was in high school. The ice cream is fucking amazing but working there is slave labor. Since they own like 2 goats they are classified as a farm which means that regular labor laws don't apply. So me being 14 didn't stop them from scheduling me on 10 hour shifts doing really dangerous stuff. plus that place is fucking cursed...too many deaths have been associated with that place...and they guy who makes the ice cream is allergic to deodorant so he smells like a greasy taint.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Jul 16,2008 1:23pm
how was that burnt sugar n butter milkshake float, aril?

toggletoggle post by aril at Jul 16,2008 1:29pm
sadly, I was joking because Northampton is a good 2.5 - 3 hours from me. I've taken note of it and will get it when I go there soon. (real soon, I've been meaning to go there soon. That place has some nice record and book shops)

toggletoggle post by aril at Jul 16,2008 1:32pm
As I read my post, I've noticed that I said soon too many times, and the damn word is beginning to sound funny.
Sooon. SOOOOOOOON. fuck this word.
