Like I said in the other thread, a few months ago when I had cash and was being a major gear whore, I would have been all over this. Now all my cash is tied up in other places so I can't. I'd LOVE to have it though. |

Well, I am not playing in a Metal band at this point. But if I choose to again, I want to be able to get brutal tones. Pretty much VHT is my main aim. A VHT 50CL to be specific. |

yah, I have two MESA heads, I tried the VHT pitbull at Ray Mullin music in swansy Ma. fuckin sounded so sick! it just didn't have the low end that the MESA has. |

Yeah dude, its mint. Mark never took it out of his case he had and I never took it out of my house. I hardly used it when I had it. I didnt want to mess with it too much when I decided it wasnt the amp for me. |

yeah the amp is in great shape, sounds great, and has new tubes in it. Mark changed the tubes right before it went to you. I have played it numerous times, and it's a solid amp for sure. |

if anything i would say that the VHT tone is anything but liquid. The VHT sound is notorious for having little saturation, sounding 'dry' to a lot of people. not bad, just unsaturated. which to me is the exact opposite of 'liquid'

Well i guess you can say that Blue, but the VHT has a lot more...rounded sound and it has more depth IMO. The ENGL seemed kind of icy and flat for me. |

i will definetly agree that the powerball is a very cold and sterile sound, especially for a tube amp. though i love it. The VHT sound in comparison is much more lively. |

Yes. I love the powerball too, but its tone isnt really what Im looking for and its just too expensive for me to keep around. I have this sick deal for a VHT lined up and I need to grab it soon... |

The problem I'm having is my work owes me back pay for about 6 weeks of not paying me at the correct rate. Wednesday I was supposed to finally get it, but of course with my luck I didn't. This Wednesday I should definitely have it, and I will buy it.. but don't hold out for me if anyone else lines up for it. |

they are selling a used engl cab at daddy's in salem for $800 idk if thats a deal or not but if you are looking for one its there, or was a few days ago. |

Anyhow, thanks for the bump mark. I actually ended up buying a VHT 50/CL after I sold the ENGL in June or July I believe. However, believe it or not, I am looking for another powerball hahaha Hopefully I can trade the VHT for it. |
