I'm getting a little sick of half-assedly (Well, truth be told, it probably wasn't even a quarter-assed effort) trying to start a band. I'm just going to pack it in and join someone else's. Especially since I'm getting a car this week, so I can actually drive places. w00t.

I guess I'll get the basic info out of the way for yous guys that don't know me. I'm 22, occasionally drink but don't really do it at practices (But I'm not averse to others doing do), don't do any drugs (I'm cool with others doing non-hard-stuff, as long as it's not interferring with practice). Live in Hudson, work in Clinton, willing to drive maybe 30-ish miles (Worcester and Framingham areas are fair game. Boston's a little iffy, but possibly doable) As of now I really only have Saturdays free, but I could probably wrangle another off day if I really need to, as long as it's not Sunday.

As far as styles go, I'm up for about anything metal-wise. I'm not too big on hardcore for the most part, but I'm still open.

Guitar-wise, I can't sweep for shit. But I'm stubborn and still try to play leads. I pride myself on my riff-writing ability...got about 80-something songs written, kind of across the board genre-wise...temporarily lacking capabilities for recording most of them at the moment, though. (No computer at the moment. I'm posting this from my Wii.) But if you need just a rhythm player I could be up for that too. Oh, and I have a couple of 7-strings (Schecter A-7 and an Ibanez RG7620) and a Mesa/Boogie Mark IV combo, if that bears any relevance.

Vocally, I can't write lyrics. But I can growl the fuck out of 'em. I'm best at a mid-to-sorta-high range growl...think Jeff Walker. Obviously I don't sound quite as badass, but it's somewhere in that general range. I can KINDA do lower stuff, but it's not really where I excel. Higher stuff is possible too (And I'm better off at that than the lower stuff.) I'm also up for clean singing. I've been told I sound kinda like Warrel Dane (But that was by a Nevermore fanboy, so I'm assuming it was supposed to be a compliment. And I WAS singing a Nevermore song...) And I can probably handle rough thrash-ish vocals (Later Chuck Billy, Phil Anselmo, those sorts of things) You're probably better off having me play guitar, but if you're fine on that front and really hurting for a vocalist, I'll give it a shot.

After all that you're probably about to dig out some "Whoa nigga, I ain't reading all that shit" pic, and just want me to post some clips. Fine.

(The Crystal Mountain cover on there isn't representative of my usual vocals. The mic sucked, and I had to do 'em low and cup the mic to get it to pick up at all. I can record a better sample at some point or demonstrate in person.)

(I only show up at a couple of points on the recordings, but it shows off what I can handle rhythm-wise, I suppose. And there's a little melodic lead in Midnight Massacre that I did. I don't know, it's not terribly relevant, but I figured I may as well post it.)

So yeah. Don't really try to reach me on AIM, as I said I'm posting on my Wii right now, so replying here or on Myspace is probably your best bet.)

Holy fuck that took a while to write.

Cool shit (Sounds better than I remember), but I think New Bedford's a little too far out. I just looked it up and it's like 75 miles from Hudson. $4+ a gallon gas makes that a little bit of a stretch. Although I'm also not driving a Jeep anymore.

Oh, it just suddenly dawned on me that I neglected to mention I have a USB keyboard hooked up to the Wii. I'm not THAT insane.
