i really hope this is good...i loved the show but it got pretty stagnant towards the end of the series and i started to lose interest

yeah, if they focus on the sexual tension of those two it will suck. If they focus on aliens and the supernatural, it will rule. end of story.

I have no clue as to why it took me this long to finally see the new X-Files film. Perhaps it was subconscious apprehension that is all to clear to me now. This was no where near as a good as the series or Fight the Future. In FtF, they were smart to keep the ball rolling with the Black Oil and colonization arc (as they should have). After 6 years this was the best they could come up with? It's bad enough that there's no continuation of the myth-arc, but the plot was very underwhelming. As good as Duchovny, Anderson and even Patrick are, the series took a downturn when they off'ed the original Syndicate, Krycek and eventually CGB Spender, who might I add, was the best character on the show.

It's like 2002 all over again, ugh.

terrible, terrible movie. I mean HORRIBLE. I wanted to believe it didn't suck. I loved the show.

I liked it for what it was, but I agree it wasn't really worthy of the X-Files title.
