i watched this for the first time in like 10 years, i forgot how awesome it is. it really doesn't make any sense, but it doesn't need to, its got that awesome late 70's feel. all hail The Tall Man, actor Angus Scrimm. "we're gonna run that tall bastard right out of town". i also had one of those moments where you've heard a soundbyte from a song 1000 times, but can't figure out what movie its from. the first line from The Tall Man is "the funeral is about to begin....sir", which is used at the beginning of the song Hearse by Marduk.

i was just talking about this movie the other day. great flick.

Reggie Bannister owns ye all. Y'know, there was a not-particularly-dark time in my life a few years back where all my days revolved around smoking hash and watching this film.

Angus Scrimm rocks, I still can't get over the fact that he's really not that tall. They just shot scenes so he looked that way. Damn Don Coscarelli with this tom-foolery.

Hopefully New Line really pushes the new film that Coscarelli is going to do since they bought the rights to the franchise.
