Alright, I don't beleive in god but i figured that if their is one, he didn't like my guitar tone and killed the rig. I am going to be hopefully getting this Mesa power amp for $1200 once I get the money. I was running a rocktron chameleon for a preamp up untill last week and I decided that it was time time for a change so intstead of buying the same one I'm going to get something different. The only problem is that no stores really have a good selection in stock so you usually have to order them without hearing em. any advice on a preamp with a really good compressed tone for distortion (dying fetus type sound)

i use a digitec 21 legend II for preamp and fx

I like the Millennia STT-1, but it's a totally different kind of preamp. I don't know any excellent guitar preamps by name. Get what Blue has, I love his tone.

he was using a rack mounted mesa bass head but it blew up a while ago so we have used the pv since he actually uses distortion and fx via the pedal but i have no idea as to what he is using

we think the head blew up caise it's running into a VERY OLD kustom 1X15 speaker cab

anyone use the marshall jmp 1 preamp?? I was looking into that. opinions on it??

personally, i feel that marshall have only been riding the name for too long. its a good preamp, gets good high gain sounds, but there are much better for the money.

did you use the chameleon on orgasm induced diarrhea?

if you want a great thick low end distortion (thats better than a recitifier) get a pod pro. the insane setting is great.

ya, I used the chameleon on Orgasm along with a 5150 and the dual rec. by itself.
