Hey man, I've been writing 8-bit music since 1996 when the Tracking Scene was big. I'll upload some stuff if anyone is interested. It may be somewhat more "trendy" now; however, people don't really know how to do it correctly. It needs four channels - essentially four instruments. That's why all the instruments and melodies are utilized to their full potential.
