Chris Barnes has officially parted ways with the Finish death metal band TORTURE KILLER, who took their name from a SIX FEET UNDER song back when they were a SFU and OBITUARY cover band.

"I am no longer involved with, or a member of, the band TORTURE KILLER," says Barnes in a statement. "The split is mutual; it was just time for me to move forward. I wish the band well in all future plans and musical endeavors."

Why the hell would you start a SFU cover band?

I think I heard Torture Killer once and I recall it being mind-numbingly horrible. Some idiot that used to post here started a thread about it and how great the band was -- obviously that kid should kill himself immediately.

Aw, come on. I actually like SFU's first album.

you know, i have always liked Haunted. its nothing special, and basically Obituary with different vocals, but Chris Barnes doesn't sound like shit on it. i wouldn't call it revolutionary, but i do enjoy it still. however everything post is just garbage.

I actually like his vocals. But, every peice of music he's applied them to since getting kicked out of cannibal corpse has been the artistic equivalent of the shit on the bottom of my shoes.

I have to agree with Yeti, Haunted is a good album, not ground breaking or original but it did took my attention, most of what he has donde after that is just shit, specially with his attitude, he is the most arrogant motherfucking asshole in the states...
