I think I'm gonna have to go to this, not only because I don't touch poop with my mouth, but because I'm real good friends with the guy from Supplication, and Sal (the bassist) puts me to shame every fucking time.
Snuff would be much appreciated. MSD, Dave Maggot and I have several amazing treats in the works, but who doesn't enjoy some gay knife fight sex? (If that is the video you're talking about, haha.)

Yes, I am talking about the naked gay S&M knife fight murder attempt. I love the part when the guy keesters the knife. I have some other equally thought-provoking videos as well: Church of Satan videos, Gummo, John Waters movies, Billzebub's "Metalheads", drunk rednecks torturing each other, Heavy Metal Parking Lot, a guy puking on a crucifix, etc.
Hahaha, quite the collection. Definitely bring gay knife sex; if you could put it on a data CD of some sort, that would be awesome. I'm pretty sure I'll just be setting everything up on my laptop. Your enthusiasm for grossing people out is greatly appreciated!
Yeti, just to warn you, we're slammy as fuck. But, we have a lot of variations, versatility and dynamics...plus we're more hilarious that we are jockish, haha.

hahaha i don't mind properly constructed slam, its just that Waking the Cadaver bugs me. i enjoy Internal Bleeding, and what i've heard of Devourment. its when you have no real idea about death metal, and consider it death metal. you gentlemen have plenty of knowledge and experience.

Slam death metal is still popular? I wonder why no one was into it when Suffocation first developed those riffs, and when all the mid 90's NY/NJDM bands were perfecting it (most of whom either suck now or are defunct).
Not listening to generic slam death. Where were you when Repudilation or Cadaverment were around?

No need to get defensive, and there is nothing wrong with not listening to a style of music. But its a well known fact that slam death metal is very popular.
Wait who's getting defensive here? Might want to reevaluate that one man. I did ask a legitimate question, whether or not it was actually still popular. There were a multitude of bands that came out of the woodwork, following the release of Devourment's debut album. I thought it was a sudden trend that would lose steam fast. Especially considering there were a lot of great death metal bands that played those types of riffs, but failed to get any recognition for it. I just like the older bands I guess.

Yeah, dude. Its exploding. A couple generic slam bands got huge and a whole lot of kiddies started making their own slam bands.
Yeah that's usually how it goes with any subgenre of metal, especially death and black metal. I enjoy those riffs, but I just can't get into bands who use it as their crutch.
To me, being a slam death metal band doesn't mean slam after slam after slam...sometimes that can work, but it shouldn't be the principle to base a band on. When Composted writes, we make sure every slam is going to be a fucking powerhouse, no matter how many slams there are in a song. This means we have to make sure that the riffs that precede and follow the slam complement the slam so it doesn't become boring and monotonous. We also take into consideration harmonizing, dynamics, syncopation, polyrhythms, layered vocals, etc. Plus we rip off the opening riff to "Don't Stop Believing," so we're clearly the best slam death metal band on the face of the motherfucking planet.
Composted will definitely be abound with slamcake.

can i have some MIIIIIIAAAGGHHHLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLK, AND AAAAAAAAAACCCCEEEECCCREEEAAAAM with my slamcake?

repudilation was one of my favorite slam bands, but that whole "WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THEY WERE AROUND!!!" is gay. Not many good death metal bands around anyways. Rest in gore is sick for straight out slam worship though.

who's headlining this show? and who's opening? oh yeah, SLAM!
LOL! Hooray for psycho killers who are dumb enough to video tape their murders and then fail.
The fact that you have this video makes you my new favorite person.

i am truly excited for cake. i go to weddings mainly for cake, i live to be a year older, mainly for cake. i will get married because of cake, and there damn well better be cake at my funeral. god help me. i will come back and fucking eat you all if there isnt cake.
Dripping was not as good as Cadaverment in my opinion. I think the arrangements on their debut were incohesive and awkward, and the production sucked. Dehumanized demo's and Eternal Suffering's Drowning in Tragedy are better representations of the slam style. I can appreciate the fact that Dripping tried to be somewhat experimental I guess, but they're not on the artistic level of say, Gorguts - Obscura or Portal from Australia. Both of those bands capture the true essence of death metal in an abstract and expressionist manner. As far as brutality goes, I'd look to Clean Flesh/Erotic Incisions instead.

This is a man who knows quality slam death metal. I enjoy Dripping a lot though and Composted definitely takes some influence from their ideas at least, but the production definitely puts a damper on the experience.
Might have to go to this, especially as we're sharing a space with Summoning Hate - anything less would be uncivilized.

Jon wants to go to this. Maybe he'll talk me into it too. More likely I'll stay home and eat ice cream.
Somehow Metal Thursdays just aren't the same when you can see straight.

What happened to Juan? Don't get me wrong... Milo does great vocals. I just love Juan's stage presence because he paces around with a mean look on his face as though he is about 5 seconds away from beating someone with a baseball bat.

I heard Juan didn't want to do it anymore. the problem is he didn't let them know about it.

I know it was shitty of my part by not saying shit(leaving the band), specially 'cuz I held most of my frustrations in(also health issues), wich is not fucking good to do, regardless of me not been there I want you all to support them, its all about the music...I'll see you on the pit one of this days!!! Cheers!

Juan you're still the fuckin' man no matter what!
Tonight!!! I'm psyched and ready to fuck shit up in the pit!
I really want to let everyone know all of the stupid shit we're going to do at the show tonight, but alas, we must maintain the element of surprise. Needless to say, anyone who misses this show will regret not having attended for the rest of their fucking lives. Goddammit.
When were you guys going to let me know that our music didn't suck? I mean, what the fuck...
Also, if there is any possible way that Drew or Summoning Hate's bassist could allow our bassist to use his bass rig, we would be infinitely grateful. Joe's bass amp started crapping out last night. :/
i wanted ot go to this but i didn't sleep at all last night and i'd crash on the way there if i tried to go now. plus i have work again tomorrow, so i need sleep tonight. i really wanted to see composted and say hi to the dudes from summoning hate. i'm sure i'll see both bands sometime soon.
THIS IS FOR A VERY SPECIAL BIRTHDAY BOY - HE'S TURNING 6 TODAY. WE MADE HIM A CAKE WITH A PENIS ON IT, AND YOU'RE GOING TO HELP HIM EAAAAAT IIIIIIIIIIIT
Cool finally meeting all the board folks IRL - as much as it was horrifying to have that many /b/tards in one room. Missed most of Proteus, but what I saw was cool - not my thing, exactly, but done damn well (and I got to practice counting to 7). Composted was everything I'd hoped for and more. (And they bake a fine penis cake.) And big ups to Summoning Hate a) for destroying even without Juan, and b) for buying me beers to replace practice space beers. LOL
a long time ago xmikex posted a picture of old people and it said "let Richhorror eat cake". i laughed my ass off when i saw it, so i was cracking up last night during the whole cake defilement.
MSD will be posting some videos on youtube as soon as we agree on which songs should be put up. The footage is absolutely fucking retarded, and I love it. A few people will be supplying me with pictures; not sure if there are any aside from Composted, but I'll post the best ones whenever I get them.
I'm covered in bruises and scrapes... this show was awesome. Rev, you would have gotten a ton more pics of Ray & I acting like complete jackasses if you had gone.
