Our website has been down for two days, I submitted the following to GoDaddy:

As of yesterday I started getting Internal Error 500 messages if I try to access the root page of devilschampion.com. I have not made any changes to the site, where there any recent changes made to the server like PHP or Apache upgrades that may have changed the behavior?

Here is their useless response:

After reviewing your account, it appears that the error you are receiving is a scripting issue. Unfortunately, we do not provide coding or scripting support. I recommend performing a search on a search engine for more information. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Fucking useless, if I don't change anything on the site, how can it be my scripting problem???

Rant aside, anyone ever resolved an error like this?

that was my first thought, but the code hasn't been touched in almost a month, the file date is 12/7.

I noticed they changed the location of the zend libraries at some point, which I've accounted for, but it makes me wonder what else they changed...

it sounds to me like they upgraded from php4 to php5... I had a lot of issues with this like that. it doesn't give you a line number?
If you just make a blank php file does it work? a blank php file with phpinfo(); in it?

I also have issues between version 5.0 and 5.1/2 with a single } so that I can't look at the message forum on my development machine. I get a similar issue. since the } is the issue the scope runs out of the current file and I think the error is like this one for that too

zend? you paid for that?

naa, I think zend is useless, the default php.ini they provide has paths to the libraries though, which were wrong and show up in the apache logs.

looks like the bastards did upgrade PHP, phpinfo shows the version as 5.1.4. found the culprit to, I use a script called psuedocron to mimic cron functionality, once i comment that out the page loads fine. must be something in there that doesn't like php 5

zend's IDE was the bomb until eclipse came out with a php plugin. still zend is made by the people that made php so it's cool cause you have edit things and run things right on the server.

I've always used Network Solutions ( http://www.netsol.com ) for domains but a few months ago got annoyed by their price of $35.99 per year domain registration (x 4 domain names) so I complained and now when I register them I just call and I get a reduced price each domain for $8.75 a year. Anyone can do this, you just have to call to register, not online.
