I worked it out with my creditors so I am safe, but just wondering if anyone has gone through that shit. How long do they usually wait before they legally steal your vehicle, ha.

i used to repo cars for a used auto lot...basically once someone missed even one payment I was legally able to go repo the car.

i'm not sure how it works with "new" cars and dealerships though.

if you're worried...try to have someone park in front of you or just make it unreasonable to get to the car (garage). i mean, they can't take it if they can't get to it.

No, but once a therapist at my job let us use his space to practice at. He left to africa to see his family and apparently he didnt pay the rent for like 2 months. We came there on this monday we all had off to practice and all our shit was gone. It took the whole day to get our shit back. Fucking sucked.

haha...no man...i actually never had any bad encounters when doing repos. i usually did them late at night...most people didn't even know it until the next morning.

i miss it a lot....nothing is funnier than seeing someone come running out their house freaking out as i'm driving away in their car! fun times.

dealerships are usually slower to get anything done....so you probably have some time on your side. i wouldn't worry too much. plus if you sorted shit out with your creditors i'm sure you could easily get the car back if they did repo it.

Nah, I still have the truck, haha. I think they really won't touch it with the very small amount of time left to pay it off as well. I called them and things seem okay, but we'll see.

i had a car repo'd. it took a very long time before someone actually came and took it. the creditors were willing to work things out, and kept saying so for almost a year before they came and took it. it was 7 years ago and i was a youthful retard so i didn't pay attention, but a repo is the last thing they want to do.

after they repo, thats when they sue if you won't pay. but really, people throw the word "repo" around a lot, but creditors really do just want their money, so they are willing to work with you. i can't tell you how many chances i had to fix it before they came, and even then, the repo threat was thrown out at least a few months before it actually happened.
