northern canada, northern europe, northern russia......any place that it stays dark for weeks/months on end?


just looking for stories of the cold.


i want to travel. not to tropical locations, BUT, to places alot more depressing (weather wise) than New England.

went to the northern most tip of newfoundland this summer

just fucking go. it was awesome

Go up Mt. Washington... 233 mile an hour winds and gets to about -80 degrees...

i went to northern nh for a show that got cancelled. it went from autumn in ma to blizzard in nh in like 3 hours. grim.

dude the south pole is way more brutal.

One time I went to Rhode Island.

I went as far north as Sweden in the spring of '05 but, I've got no bad weather stories and the days were much longer (even in spring) than any I've experienced in my lifetime. I did hear tales of long dark winters and suicidal depressions though, so there ya go. 15% of Sweden is in the arctic circle.
Personally, couldn't be depressed in such a hospitable place....Ya know, with the beautiful women, good drink, saunas and all.

6.5 degrees at my house this morning. I think that's relatively grim.

go to alaska or the Yukon. My sister went there last summer and there were wolves running around in the mountains and bears visible everywhere.

northern russia is probably the most grim. Russia sucks enough to live in on the southern part, let alone a windy, intolerably cold version of that...
