New site? Maybe some day.

they are a very good complement to each other. |

Dammit, Rev, every time someone mentions Overcast, I have Bleed Into One in my head for approximately 3 metric weeks.
JAAAAAAAAAA NAAAAAAAAAAAA, JUD JUD JUD JUD JUD JUD JUD JAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, JUN
JAAAAAAAAAA NAAAAAAAAAAAA, JUD JUD JUD JUD JUD JUD JUD JAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, JA NA
(I'm pretty sure Overcast was a big influence on Jud Jud. If not the biggest.) |
Is that a question as to which is better? I like both but think Starkweather deserves more credit than they receive unlike Overcast who I happen to like, however. |
wow, I haven't heard these versions in a while. Thanks for the link. You da man. |
I would link the starkweather, but it was a megauploads and I'm not sure where it was. |
When we were young'uns, my friend had a copy of this with a scratch on the record, in just the right place that the above riff (i.e., "the good part") simply looped back on itself infinitely; it was practically seamless, to the point where if you didn't know, you'd be wondering a) why this part went on for so long, and b) how they got twenty minutes of music on one side of a 7". That version was way fun to listen to. |
both great, but overcast for teh win. |
vs.

starkweather are terrible, and i've never heard overcast |
I remember when Overcast first came out. I dug it until I heard the vocals. What a terrible, terrible fit they are for that music. |

See, I never thought that (knew plenty of people that did), but it's one of those things that nobody else can pull off. Not that plenty of mid-to-late nineties wannabe spinkick metal bands didn't try. |
