Drive safely!

toggletoggle post by Beorht-Dana  at Nov 3,2007 1:48pm
Middle East website says 8:30. I'm assuming that's doors and not when the show starts.

toggletoggle post by chrisabomb at Nov 3,2007 1:53pm

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 3,2007 7:27pm
be there in 45-ish

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 3,2007 8:59pm
ok, 3 bands starting at 9:30

toggletoggle post by AUTOPSY_666   at Nov 3,2007 9:06pm
I didn't make it.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 3,2007 10:12pm
goat came up and visited for a few minutes. I tried to find someone in oxbow to shoot downstairs too, but couldn't find them. wonder if they are playing anywhere tonight.

demiricous: even will the antagonizing all the crowd with their pats v colts retoric, the killed on stage. This band is so extremely tight, but not anal. Hey still have a lot of fun with it and this New England crowd thoroughly went off for them. From the first note of their first song, people started thrashing. The way they play the new CD is so much better. They even have some parts that sound slammy. They don't have the same amount of melodic guitar work in their new stuff. It goes over really well in these beer soaked crowds. I swore that robin was going to get tossed out, but he stayed in.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 3,2007 11:12pm
its awesome that the middle east has wifi. so fast.

skeletonwitch: anything band that was so good. I'm pretty sure most people here didn't know who they were and everyone seemed to get into them. They are such a good band and thus far under-rated. For those of you who liked their stuff, I was off teir new CD that has some excellent ictures under the CD. The singer confessed that dying fetus was "his" band back in his day. Definitely awesome to see them so soon after they were here at the palladium.

toggletoggle post by chrisabomb at Nov 4,2007 12:48am
HOW WAS THE TURNOUT FOR THIS SHOW?

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Nov 4,2007 12:52am
CAPSLOCKTASTIC

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 4,2007 1:01am
definitely close to sold out. I thin it's 175 up there

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 1:17am
wow...intense set by dying fetus. tightest band ever? I think so

toggletoggle post by Beorht-Dana  at Nov 4,2007 1:24am
The singer from Skeletonwitch saying DF was "his" band when he was a kid was funny because, to me at least, he looked like he was 40. Skeltonwitch impressed me though, I had never heard them before.

Dying Fetus were even better than I had expected. They played Justifiable Homicide which pretty much made my night.

toggletoggle post by sxealex   at Nov 4,2007 1:59am
i wanted to go but am broke right meow...

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 10:05am

They played four if I remember correctly:
Justifiable Homicide
Pissing In The Mainstream
Epidemic Of Hate
Praise The Lord

toggletoggle post by Kinslayer at Nov 4,2007 11:54am
This picture is awesome...

I'm glad it looks like Dying Fetus got rid of that fat spic looking singer...maybe they did a long time ago, I don't really follow the band but he always annoyed the shit out of me...

this dude:

toggletoggle post by AUTOPSY_666   at Nov 4,2007 12:00pm
Haha, that's Vinnie Matthews.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Nov 4,2007 1:31pm
Skeletonwitch ruled. Isis damn near melted my face off. I think I'm in love with 27's drummer (PS: not a dude). $3 PBR tallboys are a beautiful thing.

toggletoggle post by Aegathis  at Nov 4,2007 1:41pm
Is John doing the lead vocals now or is that bassist doing all of the Kevin/Vinnie parts?

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 1:42pm
the bassist is doing them

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Nov 4,2007 1:50pm
fuck man. Fetus was so fucking tight! my neck is sore as shit today. could be my all time favorite band now, for real!

toggletoggle post by shannon at Nov 4,2007 2:10pm
I join you in the sore neck misery Josh, but so worth it. Worth the $45 dollars in gas and being tired as fuck today....DYING FETUS WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! I might just have to drive up to RI to witness this shit again.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 4,2007 2:25pm
the bassist (that I always think looks like alex webster until I see a picture of alex) does vocals.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 4,2007 2:26pm
who the hell is kevin? you mean jason?

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 2:43pm
lets just say it again....that set was AMAZING.

toggletoggle post by AUTOPSY_666   at Nov 4,2007 2:47pm
Kevin Talley is a famous drummer, haha.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Nov 4,2007 2:47pm
I HAVE TO SEE THIS AGAIN, IF YOU MISSED IT, YOU NEED TO SEE IT. IF YOU REMOTELY LIKE DYING FETUS, GO TO FUCKING PROVIDENCE!

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 2:48pm
nice..im working day tommorow..im going again

toggletoggle post by Kinslayer at Nov 4,2007 2:52pm
Tally wasn't drumming for them last night...unless he got a face job.

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 2:55pm
tally hasnt been their drummer for like 8 years

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 4,2007 3:07pm
and kevin never sang for them hence not following what anthony said.

toggletoggle post by AUTOPSY_666   at Nov 4,2007 3:11pm
Exactly.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 4,2007 3:19pm
dying fetus: the front of the room was so young and where is the weed smell? They were pretty damn awesome. Too quite, but when that first df riff came through the PA, I felt like he first time I saw them at the palladium years ago. I didnt hear the bassist's vocals until I got to the front of the stage. The were doing one of the new songs and it sounded nothing like jason. Too low, no screaming. I was really disappointed, but that's how the new CD sounds any how. But then they started to play an older song and he wasn't too low or too gutteral, it sounded just right. What made my night was the "last" song grotesgue impalement and then umm the song after that. I forget what I was now. it was funny that they had kids coming up to them all night long taking pictures with them. these guys are like rockstars or something.

toggletoggle post by Kinslayer at Nov 4,2007 3:49pm
What I've heard from the new CD is really uninspired...

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 3:50pm
new cd sounds fine to me..not quite on par with the old stuff but still good

toggletoggle post by GoatCatalystNLI at Nov 4,2007 4:05pm
Killing On Adrenaline is the only Fetus album I need.

yea oops my bad, i meant jason

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 4,2007 4:27pm
that's what I said.

toggletoggle post by zyklon at Nov 4,2007 4:28pm
They were ok, kinda boring set if you ask me

honestly, i feel that the new cd is actually way more of a return to their older style (KOA era). WAY better than stop at nothing, thats for sure.

toggletoggle post by todayistheday nli at Nov 4,2007 4:39pm
i think the first 4 songs on stop at nothing are great..the rest of the songs on that album are meh.

toggletoggle post by AUTOPSY_666   at Nov 4,2007 5:37pm
Purification Through Violence is also essential though.

so umm you must not like fetus cause they played pretty much everything..what else do you want from them ?!?!?!!?!?

toggletoggle post by narkybark   at Nov 4,2007 7:51pm
Skeletonwitch has a page article in the current Boston Dig

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Nov 4,2007 9:47pm
I was pissed off a few hours before this show since I didn't have more than $1 to my name, but then one of my clients who owed me a bunch of money paid up, just in time.

I definitely enjoy Demiricous a lot better live than on CD. Their 1st CD was boring as all hell, but I may have to pick up the new one after hearing some of it at the show last night. Skeleton Witch was fucking awesome as always, but I only got to catch the last 3 songs. That sucked, but I just saw a full set from them a month ago, so I can't complain too much. Dying Fetus was definitely too quiet for being Dying Fetus, but they were still awesome. Was it me or did the bassist seem to talk way too fast and slur words together???

I may try to get to the show tomorrow too.

toggletoggle post by totalfuckingdeath at Nov 8,2007 1:27pm
Fetus was ridiculous. One of the best bands out there today, esp. live. Great show.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at the library at Nov 8,2007 2:02pm
I love Skeleton Witch.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Nov 8,2007 3:17pm
Dying Fetus shows are nothing without me and Paul there. Crud.

I agree, the newer Cd is really good.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 8,2007 4:08pm
it's really good, but they don't really have any songs that stick out from the others

toggletoggle post by Blue  at Nov 8,2007 4:33pm
i dont know, the breakdowns on the new cd give me that same 'aw man i really want to hurt someone' feeling that listening to KOA gives me.
