I don't know how anyone can say its gone to shit with bands like Watain, Deathspell Omega, Witch Tomb, Craft, and Gorgoroth putting out amazing releases. Maybe it doesn't have the appeal it once did to many people, but I sure as hell wouldn't say its dead.
Part of me does agree that metal in general is rather bland, and the killer bands are few and far between. Yet at the same time that doesn't make me want to give up on it. |

It's not Xasthur that I mind, or the bands that ripped off Xasthur. It's the bands that ripped off the bands that ripped off Xasthur. This is my same feeling on certain parts of Providence, only replace Xasthur with Lightning Bolt. |
