But in all seriousness, anyone who wants to conduct business in a professional way as an artist ALWAYS asks for money up front (not all of it though), unless you're dealing with someone you know and trust. Too many bands dick artists over after a shitload of work is done. I've had it happen to me several times, even by people I knew and trusted. It's always awesome putting hours of work into something and then never getting paid for it...especially when the band uses the design.
