false. that is the most broken and ridiculous fighting game ever. SOOOO many infinites, lame ass might-as-well-should-be-automatic- air combo system, two button 140+hit supers, and GOD tier characters leaving the game so ridiculously unbalanced that it isnt even funny. go play Garou: Mark of the Wolves or King of Fighters 2000 instead ;)
oh... and Real Bout Fatal Fury 2... that is a real mans comboing game |
mk II = one of the greatest games ever |

Very true, but I still love it. I've been meaning to pick up King of Fighters and Capcom vs. SNK. They look so good.
they are awesome... they are even better in the arcade... OR if you have an arcade stick for your ps2 |
I might be going to Goodtimes tonight, I'll check them out. |
I take it no one ever played fighting street on the turbo graphic 16.
it was basically Street Fighter 1 |
I know what you were talking about, that game is so bad its good. |

good luck with that one... if there are any asians on the machines you wont get a chance to check out anything. |
I'll just divert their attention woth my Dance Dance Revolution skills, then sneak in and get a few games in. |
you know whats fucking sad? i suck at that guitar freaks game... and i play bass all the time =( |
I have yet to play that game, I'm always interested in it, but its always crowded. |
It probably can't handle anything more intricate than the latest Incubus tune anyway. |
i don't like megalomaniac....it's so blah |
the only thing that makes Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance hard is the fact that it's 3-D. Pitfighter could have been better. |
Pitfall. |
i just played a couple hours of King of Fighters 2000 and 2001... just trying to unlock shit in party mode (extra strikers and boss characters in 2k and a couple additional strikers and stages in 2k1). you have to beat a ridiculous amount of characters to earn everything. 200 to unlock the boss as a playable character -__- |

Who/what the hell is SNK? |

One of the best video Game companies ever. They made Samurai Showdown, Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, a bunch of other fighting games, Baseball Stars (best baseball game ever), and Metal Slug among a lot of others. They also made Neo Geo.
they are the 2D company that will never die. they almost did a couple years back. they STILL produce games on 16 bit hardware thats well over 10 years old. back in the day the NEO GEO was the most powerful system out there. thats because of the dual chip processing. it had a 16 bit chip for prcessing graphics and whatnot and an 8 bit for the sound. that made it so you could have much more sounds AND graphics running at the same time. not to mention that the home system called the AES is a carbon copy of the arcade machine, called the MVS. this led to arcade perfect home ports of any MVS game. not to mention that the NEO GEO came with a JOYSTICK rather than a gamepad so as to tell you that SNK wasnt fucking around. put it this way... the largest SNES rom i have seen is like just under 4 megs... the largest NEO GEO rom (for MAME or Nebula emulators) is about 100 megs. very high qaulity 2D gaming. unfortunately the games are downright expensive and it was never as popular as they should have been in the USA... because of this SNK could never get a decent new system out, there was the NG64 (which came out before the N64 i think) but that really went nowhere because NEO GEO fans are 2D diehards and the games they made in 3D werent really as good as they could have been. so with that unsuccesful attempt at trying to gain back popularity, SNK just sort of kept dwindling... but they kept on making games. they mainly deal with 2D fighters now but they also still do Metal Slug (a new one just came out actually)... although NEO GEO is still a collector's scene (who else would pay 300-500 bucks for a new 16+8 bit game?), SNK is making a triumphant return. this year saw SNK vs Capcom: Chaos which was very succesful. they also just released Samurai Shodown 5, Metal Slug 5, and King of Fighters 2003 and they also released King of Fighters 2000 AND 2001 for the ps2. they are making an aggressive return into the home market and i couldnt be more happier. with atleast 6 games slated to be ported to the ps2 in the next few months and the 20+ games that have been announced to be coming out in the next year... i expect SNK to become a good part of the gaming world again.
p.s. yes i did not mention the neo geo pocket and color pocket... but seeing as that you guys never really heard of SNK... i doubt you would have even imagined that those two handhelds exsisted. |
spalding you are hardcore with your video game geekery. im jealous. |
Spaldino, you receive "Man of the Year" for typing that whole thing out. That was the best thing I've read in a while.
And you get extra credit for mentioning Neo Geo Pocket. |

So....... you work for them?
That sounds like it should've been C&P'd from their website, on which I couldn't find any useful information.
Now you know what to do when your parents tell you to get a job. |
