Dave Culross has apparently once again quit legendary Florida death metallers MALEVOLENT CREATION. No reason was given for his departure. Dave is said to be doing recordings with other bands at the moment as well as launching a new project. He is also looking to do some session work.

I don't know why you don't mark these news...

you should probably put up a little window that pops and asks people if they are sure they dont wanna mark a certain post as news or not.
we are obviously not as smart as you to remember such things of importance, oh mighty one

They should get Alex Marquez back.

Definitely hard to find; due to the blatant racism of their bassist at the time (who also did vocals on that album, or possibly JUST vocals on the album, I can't remember, it hasn't circulated much. I think Pavement re-released it though. I found my copy for $5 at Spinnaker's in Hyannis. I'm sure you could find it on amazon.com.

Eternal is my favorite album. "Still They Breed" or something like that is the song you are referring to. as it is a little racist in the end... there is a lot to agree on in the song. that album rules a shit ton though.

Perhaps Culross wasn't content with being a man in his thirties and playing for twenty bucks and a ham-n-cheese sandwich every night?

As for "Still They Breed", I really can't imagine how many sets of ears sat and listened to it - with the musically unaccompanied "YOU FUCKING NIGGERS" and didn't say "hmm... this could be problematic". Seriously - how did that even make it through the tracking without being cut out?

A solid album nonetheless, but I'd still have to take "Retribution" as their finest hour.

PS - Spinnaker's fucking rules (or at least it did like, six years ago... haven't been there in some time).

In an interview that guy was asked what was up with the "You fucking niggers" line, and he claimed he actually said "You fucking niggarts," which is an old word for one who is ignorant. Easy to believe coming from a guy who used to where KKK shirts as "jokes" to Malevolent Creation gigs.

On another note, the drums at the beginning of "Blood Brothers" make me want to punch babies with hammers.

Haha, awesome. I guess I was wrong about him trying to cover up the fact that he used "nigger" in a song.

Culross is on the latest album. Anyone buy it?Only had 20 bucks with me at N.C., so went for the new Mayhem this time. Pretty fucking intense.

toggletoggle post by Seth/Hekseri at Sep 10,2007 1:27pm
Yes, it is awsome for a album and I think it is better then the new Behemoth. It has some normal guitar and song shit, but some cool parts to and most of the songs are brutal in their own way. Definitly a buy..I bought it and is is becoming one of my greatest albums for MC and death metal!!!
