Why will I go see it anyway when I know the story will suck?

There's more blood and death in this trailer than there is in the entire first movie. I suppose that's something.

This was set up at the end of the last one, but I didn't want to believe it was going to happen. I'll probably see it anyway, but not until it comes out on DVD and I can see it for free.

How do you rape and kill a movie? You can't just rape and kill one DVD, since there are millions of other DVDs going unraped and unkilled...do you rape and kill the cast and crew and everyone who's ever seen it so there is no memory of it whatsoever?

i hated how they fucked up the last movie. I can only pray they make this an extremely violent and bloody sucky movie as opposed to a bloodless sucky movie.

If it's got anything whatsoever to do with the last one, it's already completely fucked. They shat all over so many franchise conventions for BOTH series, not to mention completely ignoring the Dark Horse comics the movie was supposedly based on, that unless they do a complete continuity reboot ala Batman Begins, it's automatically pure shit. Fuckers.

that alone makes up for how bad the first one was. This movie looks like it will be worth seeing. I don't expect brilliance like Alien and Aliens, but at least it will be entertaining.

Someone needs to come out with Alien vs. Predator vs. Hitler. Then I would definitely go see it.

I hope they don't do that slow motion matrix-y bullshit like they did with the last one

the only reason I want to see it (even though the first was one of the worst movies ever) the trailer had a shit load of gore which makes me excited. Though it will still probably suck.

i don't care what anyone says, this is going to rule. there should be a huge battle at the end thats Alien vs. Ripley vs. Dutch vs. Predator.

I think the trailor looked brutal. In a real good way, I guess we wait and see.

It was a big step up from the first. No stylized camerawork, no remorse for certain characters you'd expect to make it. It's worth seeing.

I'm pissed as shit they didn't show the "pred-alien" breaking into the maternity room and devouring the newborns.
I mean c'mon, they kill off an 8 year old within the first 15 minutes of the movie, why not take that second step over the cinematic moral line?

I thought it sucked. They cut away a bunch of times when the alien was going in for the kill. Plus I hated how darkly lit the entire movie was, you could never really see the pred-alien the whole movie.

I suppose that formula doesn't work as well on a decensitized(sp?) audience of 2007, but I'm glad they stuck to the classic dark and ominous look of the primary alien that scared the shit out of the people back in '79.
I've been a fan of the Alien series for a long time, so it brought a smile to this fellows face.
As for the Predator half of this movie, did everyone else's theater laugh when that fruitcake yelled at the lady, "Get to the chopper?".

I paid good money to see a pred-alien hybrid and I expected to see it in all its glory damnit!

i thought this was pretty good. yeah, the plot was trite, the characters and their stories were pointless, but it was still a fun ride. i thought it paid good homage to the originals. i mean this wasn't jerk off worthy, but it was damn cool. i went into it knowing it wasn't going to be some masterpiece, i just wanted to see creature violence and Predator hunting. i got what i paid for. plus, the blond girl getting the disk was spectacular. and the preview for Cloverfield was awesome.
