I learned something new today...I know that this sounds like a stretch but it's true...

Vortex (Dimmu Borgir) was Borknagar's singer for quite some time. I had no idea. Either way...Borknagar is a favorite to be cherished for MANY years to come.

I actually very hated his vocals when he was in Borknagar, and they're one of my favorite bands. Something about his tone and pitch was off nearly 90% of the time, like in Ad Noctum

Garm was better and Vintersorg is lightyears better, but he really showed himself up in Dimmu. Using his voice sparingly is where he shined

garm was the best borknagar vocalist, then vintersorg. ics vortex ruined arcturus.

I like them all.......I just had no idea that he was in this band...ever. I actually LOVE his voice with Dimmu. BUT Vintersorg truly is the best.

The vocals in that youtube video are vintersorg too, you probably know, but just saying

i love vintersorg, but garm is a way better vocalist.

garm was definitely the best Arcturus vocalist, especially good on the Sham Mirrors. Vortex suited Borknagar way more then Vintersorg, and Vintersorg is good in Vintersorg (the band)

Ya, I knew that it was Vintersorg.....it just happens to be one of my favorite tunes. KILLER.

i think vortex was the best singer for borknagar, he added a little bit of chaos to the sound
Garms ulver and arturus vocals are much better than his work with borknagar.
Vintersorg is definately high quality, i just prefer vortex.

Fucking massive epic WIN for Borknagar; one of my all-time favorite draft picks.

With the singers, I feel like they all have their own strengths. Borknagar's gone through different eras musically, and the vocals have gone along with.

Didn't care much for Epic, though. Empiricism minus all the awesome.
