I found out that a theater relatively close to me has all AM showings for $5, so hopefully they'll have a morning showing of this tomorrow.

Yes, the movie came out yesterday on my 28th bday and was fucking awesome! I was nervous about it too but the Simpsons finally reclaimed their position as the top animated comedy franchise. So good!

I really want to see this but I'm going to wait till its been out for a while and let the mobs die down before I go see it. I was afraid that somehow it would be lame (like the Stewie movie) but it seems like a lot of people like it, so I'm not too worried about wasting money seeing it at the movies!

well worth the time and money. caught me off guard. i expected it to be drawn out but it was amazing how quickly it seemed to go by

My son went to see this last night and said it was good. I will wait for it on DVD. Not a big Simpsons fan anymore. The show is rather weak now.

the mention of piracy at the start of the movie made it that much better!

I finally saw this, and it was fucking awesome. I think the best part about it was that every little thing that happened was essential to the entire plot in one way or another. Also, "maybe we should kiss to break the tension..." caught me so off guard that I almost sprayed Dr. Pepper across the entire theatre. I'm thinking of seeing this again ASAP.

i downloaded it... it was good. but i wasn't floored. i think the simpsons have been around so long that im jaded to their humor.

wow. i am so fucking impressed. i haven't laughed that hard at a movie since South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut. i was so worried that this was going to suck, or that the any laughter would be feigned, but i was dead wrong. so fucking funny.

It was so so. Basically an hour and a half episode. Had some really funny moments, but it was little too wishy-washy with the whole husband/father thing.

I give it a B-.

Did anybody else see this in a theater where 90% of the people didnt get the jokes? Reminds me of people who say they love Family Guy yet sit through an entire episode without laughing cause they obviously dont get the references.

this is what happens when you pull off your best, most experienced writers from the tv show to make a movie.

too bad the series has suffered from it.

there is one thing that puzzles me. why did they name Moe's "Moe's Bar" and not "Moe's Tavern"?
