We play in southeastern NH on the seacoast, some songs are posted on www.myspace.com/excrecor, first one probably has most keys. leave a message if interested, or know anybody that would be

Did you mean, most potential for keys to be written/added to?
I didn't hear any keys.

:shrugs:

There's keys in the first song in the form of Strings, Lead sections and some ambience.

Edit: But yes, a real keyboardist would be able to add more to it.

Oh, I see..
The keys are in "attrition"
Fortune Fall loaded first time I viewed the page.

I can hear the strings on the 17th bar of the "Intro" section.
And it continues to the 32/33rdish bar right up to the verse.

But they are gone during the verse, and arn't re-introduced until the interlude section. Or whatever you guys labeled that section as being.

I would sound cool to have some keyboard arpegios or some melody line under the vocals in the verses.

Sorry about that then!

Programming the keys is kinda limiting as far as what we can do, and more of a problem playing live. more arpeggios = the win though, for sure

Agreed.
I figured it was programmed.
What do you guys use for programming, Reason?
I actually like the string patches reason has.
That's pretty much as far as I will go.

I am using the Korg Karma right now, the piano, string, orchestrated patches are par... The leads are lacking as well as some of the other horn, bells ect. I built some of my lead patches with the Karma, some with the JV2080..

It's not too technical once you figure out the legists.

Funny. Somehow I knew you'd be the only person to reply when I saw this thread.

I'm assuming that means there's only 1 keyboardist on this site, lol

Yeah we use Reason, it's easy to make patches, alter sounds and use your own samples with it. Plus it works well with our Protools using the plugins

I used to have a Korg X5, but that went away... which wasn't a bad thing because my keyboard skills are next to nothing

Eh, there actually are alot of "keyboardists" in the new england area...
I have only met two thus far who I would consider "musicians".

Yeah, I am a fan of Reason for the uses I previously said.
I just like my own lead patches..
I also have a few of Jen's patches.
I am not against stealing other keyboardists' lead sounds...
Unless they are derek sheridian... Fucking guitars sounds don't belong coming from a keyboard, you homo!

I know a sick keyboardist from Haverhill. Kids name is Kyle, I may be able to dig the number up. Good luck either way.

Cool tunes also! \m/
