Loki (The Accursed) is putting together a fest on his friend's land. I checked the place out last week and it's fucking bad ass. They've built a stage, firepit, tiki bar, a fucking teepee...all kinds of shit. It's a really cool place and would be a good time. Loki was hoping to do this soon, 8/11 was the date he mentioned to me.

So I'm gauging interest...who would be into playing an outdoor, byob, bbq, heathen forest fest? It's in Rochester, btw.

I've got some pictures of the place but it was dark, I'll get em up anyway though. The sound was actually really good and the stage is cool. So if you're into it, speak!

I was concerned about the cops as well, however all the homes around this place are the same family. We couldn't hear anything until we got up close, and I'm planning to end the music by midnight. The cops came to the last show after I left I guess, someone had a diabetic episode or something and a bunch of kids took off into the woods...turned out the cops didn't give a fuck and were all excited about the place. I guess one of them used to play guitar. haha. Thanks for the heads up though.

The Accursed aren't going to be able to play I guess, so I'm assuming Anfauglir will play. Looks like we'll be running the gamut from melodic metal to black. This place/kid has about 45 friends built in too, so you can either horrify or delight a bunch of new people. I can't wait for IWEIPH.

also as of now I might have enough bands for this one...possibly, I gotta call Loki later and work out the time frame and start dealing with slots...so if you have a preferred time, spit it out.

We'd prefer to play some time after the show starts but before the show ends.

OK- I just went back and read the emails Loki sent. Just so everyone knows the line up is confirmed via Loki, this is his idea so the final say goes with him. I'm just helping him out because otherwise you'd all be dealing with posts in all caps because I'm pretty sure he types with his fists.

I got a LOT of response and I'm going to try and fit as many people in as I can. This is Loki's friends property, they don't have a permit but they also don't have neighbors to get mad. There's a 10pm noise cut off if anyone WERE to complain, which we will take into account. Maybe we'll do some kind of acoustic jam thing while everyone is hammered.

People are welcome to camp out so they don't die getting home, bring their own grills, beer, bbq, etc. There's plenty of parking. You can sell merch (bring a table or something), they will probably take 5 bucks to help pay for the gas for the generators, I'm not sure if we'll be able to really pay bands cause I imagine running the generators is going to be vicious. This is more of a big bash, but if it goes well enough maybe we can after all. There is an incredibly clean port-o-potty there as well.

I'm going to The Accursed's practice tonight to figure out details with Loki and I'll get a line up posted and everything.

If this goes well, there will be more shows.

I'll be in Florida, getting on a boat to Mexico for a week on the 18th. The timing is gay because I really want to play this, but it's my 10th anniversary trip, it's been planned for more than a year, and not going for anything band-related might get me killed and/or divorced.

Hey Pam, is 8/11 the confirmed date for this? I need to know so that I can let everyone else in my band fill me in on whether or not it's plausible. So far, sounds good to me because we were supposed to play the Nile show the following weekend and our drummer was going to have to sacrifice to play that due to prior commitments that weekend.
