Robert Downey Jr as a super hero? Kinda pushing it. Iron Man does however rule.

robert downey, jr. is almost perfect for the role of tony stark/ironman, since both have ongoing personal conflicts. i'm sure he'll fit right in.

this movie better be good. marvel and DC need to fucking chill with their never-ending battle of who can make more movies out of comic books. at least the indie comics have more flair to them (most of the time) when they're made into movies.

I refuse to see Ghost Rider because Nic Cage is a terrible actor.

ghost rider kicked ass, but i'm sure a lot of people hated it. i've been a huge ghost rider fan for years, and this movie was supposed to be made like 10 times since 1997 or 1998, so just seeing it actually made was enough for me. they mashed a few of the story lines together from the comic books and added a few of their own aspects in there, but it was still good. i don't think nicholas cage is a bad actor at all, but he's one of those people that you either love or hate.

I guess robert downy jr thought since he's probably done as much coke as OZZY, he could be IRONMAN!!!!! too...

Ya this influx of comic book movies is just like the relentless additions to "reality television" - less emphasis on good writing and more flashy bullshit set to a standard template.

Nick Cage is a kinda bad actor...but hes been struggling to get a superhero role for years now, and i actually heard somewhere that during the filming of ghost rider they had to cover up an actual ghost rider tattoo that he had.

He better have a motherfucking boss mustache.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention that blackheart was the only villain that was in both the movie and comic, aside from mephistophales (sp?) even though peter fonda didn't dress as the devil.

blackout made his first appearance in ghost rider #2, the dan ketch era.

"The second Blackout was a darkness-generating mutant who first appeared in Ghost Rider #2 (1991). He has the ability to automatically generate a light-dampening field which negates all visible light in a significant area. His albino-esque complexion and extreme physical sensitivity to sunlight & light in general likely accounts for this power-manifestation, and its vampiric similarities apparently led him to have his teeth & fingernails replaced with mechanically-enhanced metal ones.
