I'm selling my Jackson MG Series DXMG Dinky because I no longer have use for it and I need to pay some bills off. I bought this for $500.00 brand new and it's in prestine condition. Never gigged with just used at home for practicing & recording purposes. It has the body of a Soloist but it's a DXMG with EMG HZ pickups. It does not have a floating bridge or tune locks. I recently had the guitar checked out and the strings are fairly new. This has just been hanging on my wall for months waiting for someone to shred with it! I'll throw in an inexpensive guitar strap and some guitar picks. Unfortunately I do not have a case for it.

Below is a picture of the Jackson MG Series SLSMG Super Lightweight Soloist™ but this is exactly what my DXMG looks like.

Looking for $400.00 or B.O.

It's a bolt on neck.

the guitar in the pic is a neck through and so an inaccurate representation of what you are selling....

It's got to be a DXMGT

It's bolt on, and it's got an alder body.

this is what my old one looked like:

he's just trying to give an example of what it looks like.

It's pretty hard to find pictures of DXMGTs, and it's not like you can see the neck pocket on the picture.

PaganMegaN has internet X-ray vision - FACT.

The DXMGT was a Guitar Center-only run, IIRC.

OK that's exactly what my guitar looks like except in prestine condition.

I just used a picture of that Soloist because well that's exactly what it looks like except it's a bolt on neck like Niccolai said.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's an DXMGT. I think I just get my shit confused and suck at life.

Plus it has sharkfins instead of the piranha tooth inlays.

It's true. I love a GUITARgument hrhr

Nah, I have that soloist and its a sweet neck through and I don't want injustices done to its pristine reputation. ;)

So I've looked a little more into the guitar and it's discontinued. So would this mean that this is a slightly rare guitar now? Hmmm maybe if I hold on to it for a long time the value might go up.

toggletoggle post by Niccolai   at Jun 20,2007 2:42pm edited Jun 20,2007 2:43pm
Nope.

Imports don't really increase in value after being discontinued.

There are very few exceptions (some 80s-90s japanese built imports.. especially lawsuits are sometimes saught after)

But that's a typical run of the mill korean/japanese import that was only discontinued so they could put out a better selling model.

every guitar and amp I've ever owned is pretty much discontinued (except for my mh250nt) and I had a pretty hard time selling everything.

Shit because I want to sell this guitar soon. I have some bills I need to pay off.

If that doesn't workout I'll just sell my kidney. But hey atleast I'll get to keep my guitar and have an extra kidney left over.

Is the kidney bolt-on or set-neck?
