Rawhead Rex is an old-school Worcester band from the mid-90's. the reason they broke up is because the lead singer murdered a store clerk with a shotgun. they used to play at the Espresso Bar when i was like 15. damn.

skulltobboggan may not have the most brutal music but they are incredibly hardworking musicians who have been helping others in the scene (myself included with 3 or 4 different bands) to get shows and whatnot for 10+ years. they have my respect.

i think vital remains is supposed to be coming through there, as well. we were asked to do that(which would've been awesome, but we're SO not the right band to open that show considering who would go to it) but then we kicked out our drummer cuz he's lazy. que mal!

also, a lot of people apparently missed my dirtnap entertainment post up there. the singer of skulltoboggan works for that booking company, and they're the ones who set this show up

not to say that I wouldn't hook sac up if i went out of my way to bring a bigger band around, but, i would've done a better job at finding other openers that would fit well on the show.(not bands that are gonna be heckled by everyone, for the most part)

anyhow...this venue is probably a blessing. all ages with a bar? and it's huge with professional sound? more people should be taking advantage of this as opposed to bitching about opening acts.
