i just saw this, are you a Godflesh fan, or just starting out? either way that is one of their top best albums, and definitely a good place to start if thats the case. this weird dude i worked with gave me a copy of Streetcleaner when i was like 15 or 16, and my worshipping of Broadrick work began. |
|
Death - Human.
This is the 3rd time I have to replace this CD. |

I'm actually just getting into them - I used to have a tape of Streetcleaner like 3-4 years ago but I didn't listen to it much and gave it to a friend who liked them more than I did. A few weeks ago I figured to give it another shot and I love it; I downloaded the 1988 self titled e.p. and I like that one a lot as well....I haven't really checked out anything else yet.
By the way, did I meet you at a Dark Lotus show a few years ago? I think you were wearing a Mortician shirt, and I remember you commenting on my Impaled hoodie and telling me you had a band called Sacreligion. |

whoa, that was definitely me. i cant believe you remember that, that must have been in 01 or so. damn. thats awesome. well if Godflesh interests you, there isnt a bad album you can get. they are one of my top 5 favorite bands. pick up Pure and Songs of Love and Hate, those two are amazing. Pure follows the Streetcleaner pounding sludge, but Songs of Love and Hate follows a more guitar and vocal harmony route. they are vastly different but equally amazing. |

I saw them live on my birthday last month. I love The Acacia Strain and both bands are very familiar in style.
I'm listening to Brain Drill right now. |
|
Buying music is for rich people |
|
Ha ha yea! Buying music is for the Bourgeoisie!
I've just been pirating a lot of stuff from torrent or friends.
I actually did pay for something as of late.
Xasthur- Nocturnal Poisoning (on killer double "clear red splatter" vinyl)
Place Of Skulls- With Vision CD
Wretched- Vivi Ogni Momento CD
Music is in my veins. If I could afford to buy more I would.

Yeah I knew a couple of people in Sacreligion post here, and I never knew which one of you was the one I met, so I figured I'd ask! I always see a copy of Pure at Newbie's so maybe I'll snap it up sometime. I never see Songs... anywhere though. |

the new mayhem sounds wicked (the one song i heard) anyone have thoughts?
also the new moonsorrow sounds br00tal |
|
My_dying_bride said: the new mayhem sounds wicked (the one song i heard) anyone have thoughts? |
The new Mayhem is fucking awesome - damn good record from them, just might be the best album they ever did. Atilla sounds awesome, not so annoying like on DMDS, and Hellhammer's drums actually sound like drums, not overly triggered and mechanical sounding. Lots of atmosphere too - it's a fucking killer record overall, definitely pick it up! |
|
nice deal!! thanks for the recomendation (Attila sounds very good on the track I heard!) |
|
VOMITORY - Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize
DYING FETUS - War of Attrition
BLOOD I BLEED - High Octane Thrash
EXIT WOUNDS - 17 Wounds of Exit
MYOPIA (Poland) - Enter Insect Masterplan
MOONBLOOD - Fullmoon Witchery
MOONBLOOD - Kingdom Under The Funeral Skies |
|
baroness-second
phobia-means of existence
crotchduster-big fat box of shit (even though i've had the music on my computer for over a year)
human remains-where were you when
discordance axis-jouhou
splatterhouse-the house that dead built
now that i actually have a day off, i'm tempted to go CD hunting again...nothing can stop this addiction.
oh, and every cd i just listed was purchased for under 7 dollars. therefore, i am awesome. |
|
Lifelover - Pulver
Drukh - The Swan Road (a let down thus far)
Dead Congregation - Purifying Consecrated Ground |
|
I like that DEAD CONGREGATION CD a bunch. |
|
Becoming The Archetype- The Physics of Fire
Type O Negative- Dead Again |
|
Mark Fucking...
a trip to the Redscroll used bin?
Kinslayer...
I definitely hear you on that Drudkh - Swan Road and Anti-Urban are quite below par.
That Lifelover is some weird shit. Have you heard Amesoeurs, Circle of Ourbouros (probably spelled that wrong) or Joyless? |
|
Lifelover "Erotik" has to be the best album thats come out in years, my favorite this year by FAR. I think it destroys "pulver", more metal and not as "avant" and they died down the joy div. influence. |
|
GoatCatalyst said: Mark Fucking...

you know it. they've got like 40 more cd's i've been looking for everywhere but can't find for a decent price. it's too bad i put my 2 week notice in, otherwise i'd have more money to spend there, haha.
in other news, i picked up the new beyond the sixth seal cd, "the resurrection of everything tough," since the newbury comics down the street from my house ain't got shit. it's good, but it definitely isn't BTSS. anyone who remembers their "classic" lineup(s) should not consider this anywhere near what BTSS is supposed to be. |
|
i think i might go to jewbury and pick up the new margrudergrind |
|
i'm listening to the split with them and shitstorm right now and it's making me want the new album |
|
John you getting the new disavowed? |
|
No, Neurotic Records is lame. |
|
Just ordered.......
Blood Freak - Multiplex Massacre
Just bought...........
Buckethead - Pepper's Ghost |
|
Mayhem - Deathcrush
Repulsion - Horrified(old Relapse Records version - used)
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
Napalm Death - Scum (used for 97 cents!)
Old - Down With the Nails |
|
Mess said: i think i might go to jewbury and pick up the new margrudergrind |
You probably won't find it, they only pressed a thousand of each of the CD and LP in the first run. |
|
Just preordered the new Killwhitneydead albums "Hell To Pay" and "Nothing more, Nothing less". |

SteveOTB said: Just preordered the new Killwhitneydead albums "Hell To Pay" and "Nothing more, Nothing less". |
Those guys have more samples in their songs than music! I bought one of their albums maybe 2 years ago and I couldn't listen to it. I thought Mortician overdid the samples, but these guys were insane. |
|
I've been saving my money lately. I really wish I could just buy all my music on vinyl(unless it's a discography). What I just do is buy records, then if there's stuff I buy that I want to listen to out of the house, I just download a few of them, burn them all onto one CD, voila. Better than having a bunch of 15 minute CDs. |
|
I just stole an A-Ha cd from work. That counts as buying, right? |
|
