Guitarist Alex Auburn of the Canadian death metallers CRYPTOPSY has confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET that the band has once again parted ways with singer Lord Worm (a.k.a. Dan Greening). No reason was given for Lord Worm's departure, but according to Auburn, this time the vocalist was "kicked out" of the band and didn't leave of his own accord.

CRYPTOPSY is currently looking to audition candidates to fill the positions of singer/frontman and keyboardist/samplist. Vocalists must be able to sing in clean voice, on pitch, and also be able to scream/growl. If you are motivated and would like to try out, e-mail the band at crymusic@hotmail.com. If you have a criminal record, don't bother auditioning, as this means you can't tour.

CRYPTOPSY's last studio album, "Once Was Not", was released in 2005 via Century Media Records.

I've alway preferred Lord Worm's old shit over Mike D. However, Cryptopsy's new cd fucking sucked ass and Lord Worm's contribution blew big time! I've heard it said here before that their new cd was less Cryptopsy and more like Flotopsy. If that's all Lord Word could give, I say bring back Mike D. - it would at least be a huge publicity stint for them and would go over so well with a lot of their fans.

I love this band so much so I hate to see bad thigns for them. I hope it gets better and stronger.

I'll admit, I was pretty psyched when he came back. "Once was not", was a pretty shitty Cd. And I think Mike D is a homo,he sucked as a replacement. And I hope he does not return again.

With that said, while i do enjoy none so vile and do not mind worm's vocals on that album i still feel whisper supremacy was their best

It will be interesting to see who they get on vocals, though i would like to see Jon Levasseur return on guitar

well um wernt they like fucking 16 on nsv... that cd kicks so much ass i listen to it a ton. so sloppy but soo good.

i believe they were in their early 20's. still a good album, but a little sloppy at times

the bass interlude and the breakdown that follows in the middle of slit your guts is still so fucking heavy

Regardless of the replacement they should also be sure to hire someone taller than 5'3" this time. Lord Worm was quite wee.

This really isn't a big deal and neither is Lord Worm. He's an average vocalist and I strongly believe Flo Mournier is overrated. When he blasts, you can barely hear the snares. He has no hands just double-bass ability.
