i hadn't seen this since i was probably 10, and last night i saw it in the on demand 2.99 movie section. what a great movie. it has an awesome story line and great acting. the effects are cheesy but they were top notch for 1981, plus effects arent everything. in fact i like the old stop-motion stuff. i just saw on IMDB that a remake is set for 2008, i'm sure it will pervert a classic.

I don't want to sound like a queer or nothing, but I think unicorns are kickass.

the movie almost completely slipped from my memory until i started playing God of War 2 and interacted with Perseus, who's voice is done by Harry Hamlin, the guy who played Perseus in Clash of the Titans.

I saw it in sixth grade social studies class and I think I was the only one who really liked it. I'm a sucker for stop animation and I love mythology, so I'm all about this movie.

This movie was on constantly on some cable channel (possibly the Disney Channel) when I was about 3 or 4. I must have watched at least 75 times before my fifth birthday.

it has an awesome story line because it's taken from mythology. it's a little different from the real myth of medusa though. The kraken is from norse myth, it's a huge squid that destroys ships

Ha -- the not-so-special effects are wonderfully bad.
