What was the first show you saw/played at O'Briens?

I think the first time I went there was to see Bratface with a few super-shitty other bands around June 1997.

AC played there a month later.

I forget what year it was, but I played a Boston's Dead with Gut and Disengaged. Sometime over three years ago. Before that I only came up to Boston for punk shows and never went to any bar shows.

i saw MC Hammer there in 1989.

I think I played there with Teratism several years ago.

i think it was hirudinea, abhorred, raising kubrick, and some awful band where the singer had a snake around his neck the entire set in 2003?

played one of the boston dead's A LONG TIME AGO...once, then got kicked out, broke a mic and probarly some other stuff. now we bring our own mics to shows, however we still manage to get kicked out of venues(not a good thing)!

first time i played there was with Leukorrhea in December of 04, couple weeks before i turned 21 , and they still didnt let me in till it was time to play. And it was fuckin snowing outside too.

August 2005 we played with Hitler's Wheelchair, Exploding Christ, The Departed, and another band I can't remember.

We (Life at Zero) played there 2 or 3 years ago for a Boston's Dead show.

We must have sucked because we have not been invited back -- ha!

a few years ago, it was Acsendency(I think), and The Nightmare Continues

Don't remember the date but it was a Boston's dead with Bane of Existence, Teratism, and Dissector. Our first show in Boston ever.

My first time at obriens sucked, i hated that place and the set we played. Now its probably my favorite place to see/play shows. You dont know whatcha got til its gone.

we played there at like 1 in the afternoon and no one was there. it sucked.

@O'Briens Pub was Hand Choke Neck's second show ever.
It was our first and only show with Dan of Bereavement on vocals.
It was also our only show at Obrien's, cuz that was when Bostons dead died....I think we were one of the last bands to do it b4 it started back up.
Also where I first met Joe N/C and fell in love.

* We had quite a few ppl there, and it was an awesome show.

the first i remember is Civil Disobedience in 96-97. i might have seen Bratface there in 96, not sure though. first time i played there was october of 2001, my second gig with Kevorkians Angels

my first show at o'brien's was actually the last show i played, on august 10th with sexcrement. anal blast and hirudinea were also on the bill. i was supposed to play there several times long before that, even on one of the first few "boston's dead" shows, but nothing ever worked out.

DOM played Boston's Dead a couple years ago with Malignancy, Ascendancy, and The Auburn System I think, it was a good show except we got kicked out cause none of us were 21, which will probably happen again when we play there for the next one

Hmmmm, I think my first time there was December 2002 for Shattered Existence. Then I moved in and had my mail forwarded there.

I couldn't even guess the year, maybe 97?, but I went with my friend Joanne, who's brother Roach was in Austen's Dead. He used to bring us to the Rat all the time for Vertical Smile/AD shows, but this one time we went to O'b's. I didn't go back until I was 21.

Dave and I snuck in to see Kalibas and Commit Suicide when we were like 14. That show was fucking killer!

I think I've played O'Briens at least 20 times and seen probably around 40 to 50 shows there.

Yeah Josh, I'd like to second that. When I was there with Shattered Existence, Gabe was the one who said, you need to meet that guy Brian who's doing the Bostons' Dead shows. And the romance began--ha!

RAOV in its hard core early ass stage probably late 99 or early 2000 with Van Three which was fronted by Deadlikemurf. This was before james, hooker, phil or even chris. They made us play last and we got shit faced. To be honest I barly remember the show but I know we played cause there are pictures.
