I've got a glass bowl I've had for a long time now. It's become pretty much unsmokeable. Theres a spot in the bowl itself (underneath) that is clogged with resin. Can't reach it to scrape it out, and can't get at it from the stem with a pipe cleaner.

I'd really like to fucking use this thing, but I can't figure a way to clean it. I can't boil it, since my kitchen is right next to the front door and two of my neighbors across the hall are cops. I've boiled pieces before and know it will reek. Is there a good way to clean a glass piece without having to burn/boil it?

rubbing alcohol and salt in combination will surely solve your problem....be sure to wash out the piece thoroughly afterwards before using again

Rubbing alcohol, submerse it in rubbing alcohol and then strain it through a coffee filter; the resin should stick to the filter then burn it. the alcohol will burn off and resin should be smokeable.

get efferdent for smokers.those tabs ya break up in water.like alcazelter.just use really hot water and like a tooth pick to scrape it out.just break up the tabs put some in the bowl itself and let it sit.ya might have to do it like twice but it works great.

If I use these methods, will the resin release on it's own, or do I need to scrape/brush it? My main issue is that the way the bowl is formed, theres a little spot under the bowl/ in front of the stem where it crimps, and the trapped resin blocks it. I can't get anything in there to scrape it out, so if the alcohol/salt/efferdent won't make the resin come off on it's own I still won't be able to get it out of there.

You could just buy "Formula 420" or "Orange chronic" (which is better) from any smoke shop. agent orange is awsome you just put it in a baggie with the bowl and let it sit for like two hours. Then just put hot water through it and its clean.

I will say though, if I can manage to save the resin like Derepity said it will be pretty sick. I've been getting resin hits off the carb of this thing for close to a year (without ever packing it), and it's still blocked up as hell. There must be some kinda break in the space/time continuum thingy that allows a planet sized chunk of resin to exist in there.

you cant smoke the resin after you use those solutions i was talking about but it cleans it of any built up bacteria and shit

i know the orange chronic stuff is all organic... the 420 is liek a cleaning chemical but if you wash it out good its fine....i've got the chronic shit at a tobacco shop before

About a month ago I heard glass breaking behind me, and was puzzled as to why, when I realized it was my sweet glass piece.
The resin that thing harvested was glowing, but it was a sad day.

use a good amount of salt. It used for abrasion, not chem reaction.

sorry...ya use a tbs of salt or so depending on the piece...
pour the acohol in till its 3/4 ful, while plugging the rush hole, and bowl. then put your thumb on the mouthpiece and shake the fuck out of it.
Repeat if you have to.
warm water rinse. not hot or cold.

b4 u do that...get a zip tie and run it thru for the big chunks.
