What do some bands turn their cabs sideways? Whats the benefit to this?

when guitarists have two slanted cabs thats like the only way you can stack them

well i see bands like the Network, or Jonah veil with a half stack but the cab is slanted.

Slanted as in turned sideways. 90 degree's
Any idea why?

if the cab is on casters, having it sideways allows it to resonate more since the wood is touching the ground.

The reason casters are on there in the first place.

...is so it's easier to move them, not because it resonates more.

easier to move, yes. But thats not why theyre there.
Casters lift the cab off the ground, for LESS resonation, and more projection.
Also, if your cab touches the ground, you greatly alter your bass response.

yeah, agreed. which is the reason said bands do this.

Having Mesa amp/cab I am always fighting to keep my bass down, so this would be just silly for me, unless I wanted that ...and justice WOOF.
