i'm friends with many die hard dropkick murphy's fans... and they refuse to have anything to do with the new version of the band. i myself was never a big fan but i have respect for the older stuff... and makes for good drinkin music.

Do or Die is an incredible album. I have that along with most of those early 7"s and the Boys on the Dock EP. I love Al Barr as a singer but I never really got into him singing with these dudes. I can't believe how much they've blown up though. When I was 15 I did an interview with Ken through the mail for my e-zine. No one knew about them back then of course, fuck everyone called me racist for being a Skin, it was a different time. I can't get over it now though. You get all these shit head frat fucks and red faced yo yo's from Framingham raving about them asking me "are you going to see them on Patty's Day?" Fuck that.

I loved DKM back in the day. Not into the newer stuff but i do think they are a talented bad and great performers. A friend of mines band went on tour with them and brain failure for a week and i got to go with them, the few i met were really nice down to earth guys.
