New site? Maybe some day.

I'm all ears
What are they like live? Who have they played with? Anything is fair game |
|
they all grew up on spooner st in metheun. only 1/2 of them are legally allowed to carry ears of corn in mass. |
|
never seen them, but I did go to a party at one of their houses' in RI. They're cool guys. They have played with Acariya before I believe. |
|
weve played with em a couple times, they usually play club shows and shit like that. live they have 2 guitars but one of them plays keyboards too they have a lead screamer and they also all harmonize clean vocals as you can hear on their songs on myspace. they are techy/progy metal but with lots of clean singing harmonies and stuff. musically they are definitely talented and a pretty good dudes. they are also rather young if your into that kinda shit. haha. |
|
how long have they been around for? |
|
I heard they're all hung too. Especially the guitarist who plays keyboards.
Sorry, I just saw this post, I don't post on here that often.
We've been around for almost 2 years now as THE, but we've all pretty much been in a band with each other in one form or another for maybe 6-7 years or so.
Cav was fooled by my pancake makeup, we're not as young as we look ;). We range in age from 23 to 26 (I'm the old man).
Yummy, which one were you? The guy that schooled us in pool, or the guy that could have probably schooled us in pool, but chose not to.
TTOC, any info that I can provide for you? We're playing that 27-band show at Mark's this Saturday with Diecast if you're itching to see how we sound live.
And just curious, why the question? |

"The term gets its name from a factory called the Hawthorne Works[1], where a series of experiments on factory workers were carried out between 1924 and 1932." |
|
they have three harmonizing vocalists which is cool |
|
I think it's cool each one can dunk
and the fact that two of them look so alike. Like they were brothers. Twins, even. |

thanks for the info duder. anymore you can provide is sick. A friend of mine got a press kit from you guys and asked me what I knew about you dudes. I said I didn't know anything, but then got curious about that fact. Your website is fairly out of date and I got a ballpark idea from your myspace, so I figured I'd ask around. You're probably the expert on your own band (duh) so feel free to speak more about what you guys are all about. Or email me fireandjail@yahoo.com

I can provide a funny story regarding the twins thing...
As Murph said, our bassist and drummer are twin brothers. So when we were getting ready to go into the studio I was talking to one of the engineers that worked at Zing about possibly recording bass and drums simultaneously to save time, citing the fact that the bassist and drummer were twins and were pretty tight together musically. The engineer replied in an overly surprised way like "wait, twins? Like, TWINS twins? Like real twins?" I was a little taken aback by his reaction and said "well, they're not like SIAMESE twins..." We half expected to see the bass guitar mic(s) and drum mics setup ridiculously close together when we got there in preparation for the recording of siamese twins. Maybe you had to be there.
Our website is real outdated, we're in the process of developing a new one. I'd say what everyone has said so far is pretty much in line with what we are, we play a sort of progressive type metal. Lots of odd-time stuff and polyrhythms. Sometimes we'll throw in a metal type breakdown or jazz riff. We do the sing/scream thing, but we have 4 vocalists (everyone but the drummer), 3 of which trade off on lead vocals, and we use a lot of two and three part harmonies here and there.
That's sort of us in a nutshell, but I can shoot you an email with some more detailed info (I've already sucked up a lot of messageboard space already).
And yes, we can all dunk. Just give us 7 ft rims. |

I'm the longhair that schooled you in pool. Aaron |
