maybe it's just me though...the fact that we've been labelled "faggot ass nu-metal" since we started might make me lenient to really good bands that no one else would give a chance because they weren't metal enough or something
when i was in maine there was an advertisement for sofa king. and the very end of the commercial it said "our holiday sales are sofa king crazy" it was pretty hillarious.

that's exactly what i meant...they're vocals lines that are meant to be rhythmic, which is in essence the same thing as rap
don't get me wrong, i'm not condoning rap-metal or anything...but i just think it's unfair to say a band sucks because one or two lines in one of their songs is spoken as opposed to screaming

It's with the prophetless people, for that documentary on the Boston scene that's been in the works for a year or so. I guess they interviewed Joe a couple weeks ago.
gut wrench: they seemed more than a bit off. I was hoping to get a much better set/sound out of them at this show, but that didn't happen. For one thing, the guitarist wasn't into it at all. It sounded sort of better than the lucky dog. If you ignore the guitarist being sick. The bassist covered for him cause his voice was shot, I guess. The bassist sounded like he had 2 voices in parts and the drummer was all over the place, still hitting every note and still looking a lot like josh martin on crank. they have a sound that is very "in you face." sort of like how devin townsend, gdflesh, or today is the day is.
revocation: they ruled and got quite the audience reaction. There was so much hair flying around the front of the stage. it was like a wookie caught in a blender. they definitly had on their groove thing for all the ladies in the house. Dave tried to sell of phil, but no dudes would take him. Not even for a free CD.
polaris: they sounded awesome. On par with the sound from sunday except for the fact that they had the energy from the crowd to feed off of. Plus with the bigger stage, they had a lot more room to move around in. That definitly added to this show being better. Well that and Dreadken having his claw in the air for their entire set. Ian hopped off his cab. I'm pretty sure I caught the hop, but not the tricky guitar flippy.
this might have been the most fun i've ever had at a local show. it was great getting drunk and having fun with everyone. revocation and polaris were amazing.
joe stump: I got a new insult, you are as superfluous as a 3rd nipple or joe stump's back up band. From the first note he played I just wanted to say "fuck you dragonfarce" this dude effortlessly makes you look like a shitty guitar player. He also does all sorts of funny things like humping the fret board and cracking his chord on the guitar strings.
