im working on finding a new job = new equipment and possible car. if your still looking when all that comes together, I'd be willing. I'm in MA, but I'm used to driving that far for practice.

tom doesn't like conifer, maybe if you guys put in really cheesy slam breakdowns like all the boring death metal he loves.

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 26,2003 10:26am
i've never heard conifer, and never said i didn't like them. though most of the bands you are into i'm not.

'cheesy slam breakdowns'

we'll stick to just nirvana covers then for your needs.

where did you get that I like Nirvana anyway?
I hate them almost as much as I hate you

any band you've ever talked about on this board, you have your little circle of bands that you attend shows for, but are never at any shows i'm at which goes to show you that you only give a shit about your little group.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 26,2003 10:33am
i totally disagree, you aren't at shows I go to because you live in Maine and only come down here for bigger shows, for the most part.

We are always looking for newer bands to book, and I am sure you have never even seen or heard most the bands I book so you shouldn't go around claiming to hate them just because I am not at shows you go to.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 26,2003 10:34am
and who do you expect your band to play with when you are ready?
you have alienated almost everyone

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 26,2003 10:38am edited Nov 26,2003 10:38am
i've been to plenty of smaller shows that you've not been at, the shows you book pretty much have the same bands on the bill all the time that i wouldn't travel that far to see.

what you and your label? sorry to burst your bubble, but you're not the only person setting up shows in mass.

i know, but if you think the shows I book really are always the same few bands then you are wrong. You obviously haven't much looked at them and then to go and say the bands I book suck thinking you are only insulting a small few was pretty ignorant.

There are other people setting up shows in MA, but most of them think you are an asshole too.

There are plenty of death metal bands around new england with good attitudes that people will book instead of your band.

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 26,2003 10:55am edited Nov 26,2003 10:56am
plenty of good death metal bands around new england, like???????

goratory is the only good death metal band that comes to my mind right now.

"There are other people setting up shows in MA, but most of them think you are an asshole too. "

who? you're the only idiot that puts on shows that has a problem with me.

then have fun playing with goratory at jarrods place.

i keep meaning to check out phantom limb, but haven't yet. rev' mentioned that i may dig them, i'll take his word before yours, obviously, he pretty much knows what i'm into and not.

ascendancy, not really death metal to me, their music has more of a raw black metal sound/feeling.

bane of existence: yeah, i dig em. though i think you slammed them also with the "cheesy slam breakdowns like every other boring death metal band" comment.

teratism, will check them out and get back to you.

kurixis, will check them out and get back to you.

but you have a problem with goratory too probably having to slam them with the 'jarrods place' comment.

you're such a cock.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 26,2003 11:13am
i really like goratory actually, and I carry them in my distro. but I only see them getting shows at places like jarrods. I emailed them once to book on a show in Boston but they never emailed me back. I heard their box of knives show was good though.

bane of existence is much more then just a slammy breakdown band, and when they do have those breakdowns it works really well, so therefore is not boring like alot of other bands who focus their entire songs on the breakdowns because their music is so uninteresting that they need to use breakdowns to incite violence to keep people interested.

don't check out phantom limb, I would hate for you to like one of the bands on my label. Just pretend they sound like Kevorkian's Angels meets Disengaged

i can't believe you have bands that actually consider you a label.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 26,2003 11:16am
why is that? because I don't like you?

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 26,2003 11:17am
because you make too many enemies, just because a lot of people do not get involved in the drama between us doesn't mean they like you.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 26,2003 11:20am
i don't have an enemies that would make any sort of difference.
my label is doing fine and getting bigger each month
the bands on my label are all happy with the work I do
and I have an idea of who you are talking about and they are worthless maggots anyway.

and anyone who doesn't like me because of foolish arguments you and I have should die and burn in hell anyways

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 26,2003 11:24am edited Nov 26,2003 11:25am
congrats on selling 2 albums per month instead of 1.

does disengaged have anything new recorded? i checked them out maybe 2 months ago and did not like it at all, it was like a straight up hardcore punk band.

they aren't punk/hardcore.
and they do not have anything recorded, but are working on some new material that will be recorded next year for a split with Ravage, who I am sure you don't like either.

well, what I heard was not metal.

no problem with ravage.

Disengaged is a mix of metal and punk, which song did you hear?

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 26,2003 11:34am
i remember there being 2 or 3 tracks right?

i checked them all out, or just two of them maybe.

i definetly didn't hear much metal in there except for a distorted guitar, and screamo vocals.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 26,2003 11:36am
there are 2 songs on their site from their new album

open wound, which is kind of hardcore i guess

jimmy flynn which is more of a punk song

they do have more metal-like songs, murder the world, decomposing pile of ex-girl friends, and 2 shots and a pack of newports

but since you don't like them I guess you won't mind never playing with them

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 26,2003 11:39am
i really wouldn't care who we played with as long as they're cool guys, even if it was your bands on a show you didn't book it wouldn't matter.

but at this point, we don't even have a drummer, it's waaaay too early to talk about peforming yet.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 26,2003 11:42am

I'd be interested in playing bass for you guys, but I see you frown upon combo amps. :(
