I dont think one of these actually qualifies as goregrind. More like brootal chugitychug chug death metal. Go take a listen to, oh i dont know, the first Carcass, the first Impetigo, Exulceration, Maggut, Autophagia, Vomito, Rotting Flesh, etc.

Waking The Cadaver is definetely slammy deathmetal, but due to their area and style, they get labeled as "hardcore kids playing dxm".
I definetely look at new bands like Suicide Silence and Job For a Cowboy as hardcore kids cashing in on deathmetal bands being heavy enough to move people. But looks don't always mean everything. I mean, the majority of insanely good Japanese deathmetal bands consist of band members decked out in FUBU and Rockawear.

So, I'm getting flack because I like a band's sound over their image? I couldn't give a flying fuck if they went on stage every night in pink tutu's. If their music appeals to me, I like the band.

I lost intrest in goregrind bands a few years ago. Necrophelia, coprophelia, womens' periods...that's all they sing about; the whole splatter/gore thing is just boring, the shock value has completely worn itself out for me.

cannibal corpse are basically one of the bands that definited what death metal was. most of the bands in this thread are just good death metal bands or slammy dm.

when it think of gore-grind, I think of fast death metal with punk-drumming and gross vocals about slitting up bowels. the songs also have to be incredibly short.
bands like impetigo, regurgitate, squash bowels, cock and ball torture, last days of humanity, some exhumed/impaled. bands like splatterhouse and ghoul play a little slower and you can understand the words more, but I would probably put them in the goregrind genre

Carcass, Impetigo (has goregrind elements but wouldn't consider them goregrind) General Surgery, Gut, Romperprop, Last Days of Humanity, TCME, Gruesome Stuff Relish, Dead Infection, the first Blood Freak cd (The 2nd one is awesome too, but not really "goregrind".) Those are my top pics for flat out goregrind.
