I agree whole-heartedly! The notion of holding local bands to any type of standard died with the Nineties, get with the times!!

I can remember the "bad old days" when nobody was afraid to tell a band they sucked. How stupid we were! Can you imagine what the New England scene would be like if shitty bands were blacklisted, if clubs only booked RESPECTED Metal acts, if bands actually had to prove themselves better than the others before getting a release deal? I shudder at the horror!!!

Thankfully we live in a time where any dolt with a PC and a MySpace page can call themselves a "band," get a show with Zircon, and be treated with the same level of respect as the VERY FEW who've actually delivered the goods!

post more crap, we need more posts about racism and shit that isn't funny, not good posts that make sense or have some redeeming qualities.

These bands are such quality these days that you can listen to all 400,000 of them and recall why each was important. I mean really, they change my life, they're not just the works of bored middle class youth with no futures in a dying society...

How about we start clever posts whining about how many bands are out there and how so many of them are shit because they don't fit within the personal dynasties we've created for ourselves during our adolescence. All bands are shit except the ones 'we' grew up with, 'our' bands. We're the good old boys. We're the top of the world, which is why noone knows who we are and nobody cares. Nihilism is the new krunk!

How about we start whining about bands we didn't grow up listening to. They all must be shit since the world clearly revolves around us.

Or maybe these bands are... just shit. I don't think anyone ever liked EVERY band from when they grew up. I still hate Anthrax.
