in our blood: it's been a very long time since I've seen them open a show. They set the stage for the whole night. This is the first brockton show I've been to in a long time that there was a contageious fight. It started in one corner and just jumped from person to person until it ended up on the stage with a lot of bloody heads and everyone who tried to stop the fighting getting hit. In there somewhere, IOB played some songs. I'm guessing they were a bunch of newer songs.

bateman: people really didn't move at all for them even though they were into them. This I my second time seeing them. Definitly much better this time. I wish they had made it to the show at NH.

40SLS: CD release show? No, that is december 1st. As they hit the stage, the average age in the audience dropped by at least 5 years. they bring in a lot of young kids. it's been cool seeing these guys grow from the fully named 40 second love story to bury your dead.. Er.. I mean 40 SLS. They get more and more tuff, tight, and loud each time I see them.

strength for a reason: every single time I see these guys the number of people in the room goes down (lame), but everyone one the floor is dancing. Since this was a shorter set, they played the same songs they always do. Not the same exact set (like the last 2x), but I knew all the songs. The guys from betrayed by all were the front row for their set. Frankie chairs and Sean grabbed the mic a bunch of times. I even got a perfect xmas card shot.

shere khan: video shoot. And this is serious. 3 cameras, 2 500watt light behind the band, 3 75w-90watt ligts on the band. If there were 2 75+-90w lights at the crowd, I would shoot the whole set with no flash. they played the same song over and over again. 4 times to be exact. The beginning of their set started out with a revenge beating that was years in the making. It sucks when people in the same scene who are in a network of friends have issues like this. But hopefully it's buried for good. one bad thing is that a bunch of dudes who should have been in this video had to leave to deal with things. Anyhow, their set (or should I say song) got more and more crazy as the times went on. The pile up got bigger and hopefully it will come out streamlined in the editting room sans yours truly. I tried to keep out of the way.

black my heart: they videod this set too. I uess it's fr a european DVD or something. I was in the way a lot more during BMH. Towards the end of the set, I finally realized what was up with my camera not focusing.. It was light from the video set up coming into the prism for the eye-piece. I closed the blocker and it worked, but I couldn't see anything through the eye-piece then. No surprise evens during their set that I'm going to mention. People jumped up and sang along to their 2 greatest hits which lead to a big pig pile.
"these are my friends I have their backs they are the closet thing to blood I have..."

you're right. i would totally rather be an internet elitist than support local hardcore bands and :gasp: have fun at a show.

good call brendan.

well that and how most of this music is mindless, bottom-barrel and breeds pure idiocy at shows.
