Anyone else like this game series? I bought 2 monday at midnight and played the fuck out of this game. its pretty fun to play with a bunch of friends. Musically all of the songs are recorded very well and sound amazingly like the original. the vocalists on some songs, like the Lamb of God song, are kinda... out of place and shitty, but whatever. the game overall is much harder than the first and that also makes it fun. its funny because more than half the songs i could probably play on a real guitar and bass but have a hard time passing on Hard mode (not even Expert!).

I bought GH last year and almost beat it but the disc malfunctioned and wouldnt play past the 2nd to last song. I tried to exchange it for another one but they were out of stock for months so i just took the cash. Cant wait to play GH2. LOG is on this one? Thats badass.

LOG is on it, as well as Shadows Fall, All That Remains, DethKlok, Strongbad (trogdor obviously), Anthrax, Megadeth, Voivod, all sorts of stuff.

the career mode this time around is slightly different. you play 3 songs and then you are asked if you want to do an "encore". do it, you get a sponsorship for a ton of cash everytime. the final encore is hilarious.

Anthrax = Madhouse (one of my favorite ones) and the Voivod song i dont remember... its off their newest album.

Playing it now, just going through the motions to win all the cool guitars on Easy and Medium, and then going to fly through hard and onto expert. Should be fun, and the game is a blast with drunk.

i definitely wanna check this out. i played the original one for the first time a couple weeks ago and it's definitely a good time. it is funny how it's harder to play songs that you already know how to play(i lost to a kid who doesn't even play guitar but just plays that game religiously)

everytime i die is on this... but they are fucking terrible... its from their new horrible cd... and by that i mean their new cd is even more horrible than they already were. avenged sevenfold is also on this. its so fagtastic.

My favorite song to play so far is either "Message in a Bottle" by The Police or "Thunderhorse" by Dethklok

Yeah, I ' love these games. I was outside EB games waiting for them to open yesterday so I could play before class, hadn't done that in yeeears. This one has a lot of really gay songs on it, but Anthrax rule, Megadeth rule, Freebird totally fuckin rules and I love that they put a couple hair metal tunes on...Cherry Pie is a favorite, wish it was a better Van Halen song though. I think it's gonna be a while before I can beat some of these on expert, they really made the difficulty pretty satisfying.

I loved the first one. Playing "Bark At The Moon" on medium alone was an absolute song of a bitch, "Peace Sells" was probably my favorite to play on the first. I definately need to pick both of these up.

i've been playing that shadows fall song a shit ton... im really close to getting atleast 99% on hard on that song. the all that remains song is harder, still getting about 90% on that song on hard too. i think Madhouse is unneccesarily hard on expert though. that song itself is really easy to play except for the solo (because i havent ever played a guitar solo, ever).

first time thorugh the game i played on expert and the only songs i couldnt beat and still havent are institutionalized by suicidal tendencies, hangar 18 an freebird, dick dale and avenged sevenfold are a bitch too. Thunderhorse was difficult on expert but nothing a good guitar hero cant get down first try

Institutionalized is fucking nuts on Expert. I tried forever, but just gave up. Thank science for the new practice mode. Makes learning parts so much easier.

Haven't beat it yet, I get like 90% every time...same with Institutionalized (which has got to be one of the dumbest songs ever written)

250k with one star power on Light That Blinds. im the same way with Hangar 18... i get to 90% and i poop out...

this game gave me carpal tunnel syndrome. i can only beat one song on expert....SHOUT AT THE DEVIL!!!

damn i am on hard right now and can't get past the encore song on the second stage...
i think i am going to do three songs a day or i will try.
and i agree with you this gave will give you carpal tunnel faster than playing a regular guitar.

5-starred Thunderhorse on expert. After like a week's worth of effort.

Still haven't gotten through Jordan or Hangar 18, although the latter wouldn't be a problem if star power would actually WORK when I use it. I pulled off Institutionalized today after a few days effort, and Misirlou on the first try (Fuckin' hard, but I did it) Still gotta 5-star most of the other songs on Expert, though. Then I have to go back down to 5-star hard, and then play through medium...why do I have to play backward like that?

Yeah, I finally beat it like a week ago. If you're stuck on a song like Hangar 18, I suggest using the Hyperspeed "code." It makes the game scroll faster, so you play the exact same way but the notes are spaced further apart, which may or may not make it easier for you on the songs with crazy solos. Personally, I think it makes the solo-crazy songs a LOT more fun simply because you can actually tell what you're supposed to do, feels more intuitive.

I bought it tonight cause of all the positive comments in this post. It's fucking awesome. But after a couple of songs my hand fucking hurts.

Six is a fucking workout on expert. I can still only 3-star it.

I thought guitar hero was cool until my girlfriend convinced me that it was gay and that it was much cooler to shred a real guitar. Maybe if I liked smacking my dick a little less than I do, I'd find the time and $$ to pick this one up. Until then, I'm going to stick to SOCOM and Call of Duty.
