From the first cutting riff, it becomes immediately clear that the unholy offspring of classic thrash and death metal presented by The Accursed on Seasons Of The Scythe is the result of years of listening and learning. Well-versed in all things heavy, The Accursed spew forth a lethal dose of musical toxin that proudly carries on the metal tradition. Exuding the venomous snarl of a young and angry James Hetfield, vocalist Jonathan Helme leads this sadistic platoon - brother Chris on drums, guitarists Tim Giblin and Loki, and bassist George Pacheco - into vicious sonic battle with nods to the likes of Death, Slayer, Venom, At The Gates and Anthrax along the way.

The Accursed combines a youthful exuberance with all that was good about metal of years past. They have already shared the stage with such extreme music greats as Behemoth, Nile, Beyond The Embrace, Body Count, Nuclear Assault and MOD while playing festivals like the Milwaukee and New Jersey Metalfests and the Northern Aggression festival.

The Accursed has a commitment to their craft not often seen. "We signed our contract in our own blood. I proposed to my wife on stage at one of our shows. we drove thirty hours to play a show in Minneapolis.." says Helme. "As long as there is a last breath in me, I'll never stop playing."

And what does The Accursed want fans to get from their music? "Whiplash!"

A track listing for Seasons Of The Scythe includes:

Deities and Demigods/Sawtoothsmile
Seasons Of The Scythe
Fire Of 1000 Cries
I Am Famine
Aftermath Of Sorrow
The Rider
Land Of The Dead
Slaughter Of The Gods
Cold Is The Grave

If I put it in my DVD player, will it play the homecoming episode of Little House on the Praerie?

What the fuck you guys. I thought we were friends, and here you are making jokes about my band. I... wait a sec, that sounds a whole lot like emo faggot talk... Let me try that again...

Like an unwashed cock of a date rapist who just withdrew it from the tender ass of a high school cheerleader. Familiar? I think so, you rogue.

No, it shows a secret bonus track from the live show at Jarrod's Place where we brought the Olsen twins up on stage, pissed in their hair and kicked them each about the head and shoulders until they were pretty.
As you can probably guess, that took a while.

Buy this, it's cool, like a pussy soaked in apple juice.
(Only Patton Oswalt fans are going to get that last one...)
