don't half ass batteries when putting them in your guitar. You only haveto replace the battery like once every year, so there's no reason to buy a 2 for a dollar panasonic battery. get a duracel or energizer. It actually does effect the peak performance of the pickup by an audiably noticable amount.

Like Blue said, wiggle the wires around a little.
