Has anyone out there had any luck finding music gear at pawn shops? Do they usually overprice? I haven't been to one in years and I might go today...

usually they are overpriced, but every once in a while you get a good deal. I got a red MH301 in pretty goot shape AND a matching Katana with red quilted maple sheath.

225$ total.

always keep your reciepts from pawn shops.

If someone reports it stolen and files a report against you and you can provide a reciept from the pawn shop, the pawn shop is responsible for refunding your money and returning the stolen goods to the proper owner.

I've found some amazing deals at various pawn shops in Plaistow, NH.

i think by law, pawn shops are supposed to put things on hold for a week or two with a tag stating when they can be purchased. After that time, all bets are off. I think more than 75% of stuff in pawn shops are from crack heads robbing people's houses.
