Serious question here. What do you guys do about your jobs when you go out on tour? Do you tell your supervisor "hey im gonna be gone for a month" or do you just give your two weeks notice and try to find something else when you return? I'm more or less trying to figure out what to do when I eventually go on tour.
I'm only going on tour for acouple days but my friend who works with me went all tour all of July and he just told our boss a couple months in advance that he's going on tour and needs the month off and he understood. Just gotta give them a lot of time before you actually take off.
I work at Home Depot full time. Their kind of dicks about giving me extended time off. But i used to work at a blockbuster and im friends with the manager; he was always cool with me leaving for school for 3 months and coming back when i was on winter and summer break. Im sure if i talked to him i could do the same thing. Or I could just work for my dad as a carpenter and get the time off whenever I need it.
I'm just trying to figure out my options so im not shit out of luck if/when the time ever comes
