I read somewhere on this site last month that this show was cancelled. But theres a tour date on the Deicide website that says they will be playing at Mark's in September.Im confused...

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Jun 27,2006 9:34am
I'm sure something will go wrong in the meantime. But September's a while away. Just sit back and see what happens. I hope it doesn't get cancelled if it even exists.

toggletoggle post by Jugulator at Jun 27,2006 9:37am
Deicide also got a tour date at the Webster Theatre in September.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 27,2006 10:44am
they already cancelled because they knew you were going to be there.

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Jun 27,2006 10:59am
They took it off Mark's site

toggletoggle post by Jugulator at Jun 27,2006 11:06am
That blows.I got my fingers crossed hoping they dont cancel the show in Hartford.I havnt seen Deicide since early 2003.

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Jun 27,2006 11:36am
deicide blows live.

odds are marks was gonna have 12 nu metal bands open up the show and charge $25.

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Jun 27,2006 11:49am
only 6 and it was a $15 show

toggletoggle post by Jugulator at Jun 27,2006 11:57am
Jungle Rot are opening for Deicide at the Webster Theatre.Ive never heard Jungle Rot.They any good?

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Jun 27,2006 12:19pm
Jungle Rot are a very simplistic death metal band, pretty much in the Bolt Thrower vein of the early 90s. If you don't require competitive technicality in your death metal, they are decent.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Jun 27,2006 12:25pm
Show is happening... looking for a alt. venue instead of Marks, there is a scheduling conflict.

If they sound similiar to Bolt Thrower then I'll like them. What are their best albums?

Hmm.. Perhaps a show at the Living Room in Providence? I dont know of any other clubs in NH that would book Deicide. You can forget about MA.How about a show in ME?

To bad the Bombshelter went out of business. That would be an ideal place for Deicide to play

We definately would not have sprung for them to play there

toggletoggle post by Jugulator at Jun 27,2006 8:53pm
HA HA!! The Bombshelter was cool in the winter months. But sucked during the summer. It was like a steam room filled with cigarette smoke during then.My cousin got heat stroke when we saw Cannibal Corpse play there back in the summer of 2004.After I dropped him off at his house and went in and puked all over the place HA HA!!!!

How long is this lame Deicide ban gonna last in MA? Its been 7 years since Glen was charged with sexual assault in this state.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 28,2006 10:36am
dude, its SEXUAL ASSAULT. hello??!! the guy should be banned for life. the guy was convicted of RAPING someone, which deserves way more than a slap on the wrist. whether it was blown out of proportion or not, he was still convicted of it.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Jun 28,2006 10:44am
I still don't understand this myth. He was 'convicted' of raping someone, and his punishment was only a ban from playing in this state? I don't think he was actually convicted. Still would love to see some official evidence.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Jun 28,2006 10:47am
more presumption on my part. But if he didn't serve time, he probably lost a civil court thing and part of the deal was probably a lifetime restraining order that turned into a statewide ban.

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Jun 28,2006 11:28am
like jugulator said, I bet the living room would do it.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Jun 28,2006 12:40pm
Deicide should play Brockton under a different name.

after about 20 searches for glen benton and statutory rape i got nothing.

after searches thru databases of warrants in this state nothing. If he was not allowed in the state cause of a warrant it would be on public record. and it is not.

I think this myth is busted.

ps. deicide still sucks.

toggletoggle post by Josh_Martin at Jun 30,2006 11:05am
He wasn't CONVICTED of anything. He wasn't even arrested. Some broad brought charges against him and a warrant was issued. That's why he won't come to Mass.
Some of you need to learn your legal terms.

If there's a warrant for you, they WANT you to come to the state. He's not banned, he's avoiding getting arrested.

if there was a warrant for his arrest it would be in public records under warrants.

you dont need to be convicted to get a warrant for your arrest.

you need to look up legal terms yourself there el douche-o.

Uh, no shit you don't need to be convicted to have a warrant. That doesn't even make sense, Einstein. Believe me that unfortunately, I have way more experience with that crap than you do

Where are you looking up the warrants?

I'm not 100% sure he even has a warrant. He may just be wanted for questioning or something. But the point is that the incident definately happened.

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Jun 30,2006 11:43am
google warrants in mass. or open warrants etc. it will bring you to a bunch or mass.gov public records and police websites from different towns and cities.

1000's of warrants dating back to the mid 90's. none of which belong to glen benton. being wanted for questioning is nothing to worry about entering the state for. simply refuse to talk and if he has no warrant he cannot be arrested without breaking the law.(technically a cop can arrest you for anything they see fit and then it has to either hold up or be thrown out of court)

whether or not it happened....i dont care. Maybe if I really did I would e-mail glen himself.

but there is no reason this shitty band cannot play in the state of mass so everyone can just shut up already.

Benton sure as Hell THINKS he'll get arrested if he comes here. I know that much.

Please post a link to the warrants thing. Too much crap to sift through.
There are other people besides Deicide I'd like to look up.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 30,2006 12:33pm
including josh martin.
I have a feeling that the truth of the matte is that glen does thing he
ll get arrested. if anyone wants to know the story, ask seth (hekseri) I think he knows it better than anyone.

I just read on SMN, Tour dates released yesterday, and Manchvegas is still listed, What is up with that??

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Apr 6,2007 10:36am
To settle this finally. The FACT is that he is a coward who no longer has a warrent in mass as he was finally served at metalfest years ago, but he doesnt want to pay up on the 2 counts of aggravated sexual assault suit he lost 10 years ago. Stemming from an incident that occured 14 years ago. She wasn't undrage and she wasn't on the bus.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Apr 6,2007 10:45am
way to be punctual.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Apr 6,2007 10:58am
Please understand that this is actually something very real and wrong that happened. The incident in question has shaped an entire life. I have never said a word publically for 14 years and I really didn't need to settle this for anyone. I just thought I would answer the big question no one but me has answers to. I could care less where he tours however I do know why he doesnt play in ma. So your welcome.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 6,2007 11:34am
and the world just got a little bit smaller.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Apr 6,2007 12:47pm

toggletoggle post by Dwellingsickness at Apr 6,2007 9:29pm

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Apr 7,2007 6:14am
hey you, good for you and your inhuman soul, try 14 years without saying anything. You must be a Deicide fan. I stay anon because you are exactly the kind of asshole he needs to keep putting out shitty albums for every uneducated tard to enjoy. Congrats you are another hugr asshole!
