New site? Maybe some day.
www.myspace.com/pryoryofsyn
I have 2 unfinished songs on there. No luck finding drummer yet,
possibly have a bassist, but pretty much need a whole band.
I play rhythm guitar and write riffs. Maybe you know someone?
I can help with some rhythm and lead work |
Good luck on this man, some promising riffs there, Dan's vox are great too.
I'd help out but I'm an elitist jackoff and I can't be in a band who uses the spellings 'Pryory' and 'Syn'. |
Hey, I'm following in the footsteps of the world's greatest band, STYX!! |
bump/ any interest? North Shore - Peabody, Salem, Danvers, Beverly, etc. Looking for metalheads.
click on link to hear samples. |
The Northshore needs more metalheads, that's for goddamn sure. Can't help you with your band, just whining about the retardedly dull population around here.
everywhere needs more metalheads |
not hottopic.
they are packed full. |

I mean REAL metal heads, not the Snot Topic breed of hooligans that think they're metal because they wear mascara and cradle of filth t-shirts |
alex is a nice dude. someone join his band. |
Have you read that Rev? I couldn't get past two chapters. |
thanks REV hahaa.
I haven't read that one, but I did read this one:
It was pretty good, but the premise was better than the actual story.
It's a race of people who don't need sleep.
Hey if this morphs into a SCI-FI book club, thats cool, as long as more people see this thread! |
I agree, an interesting concept in Beggars in Spain. She actually won the award for that (two of them).
I'll start a sci-fi book club here any day, I've read hundreds, used to be a librarian at UMSFS (Umass). |
Neal Stephenson's probably my favorite with SNOW CRASH,
and Vernon Vinge is a close second with A DEEPNESS IN THE SKY, and that other one.... shit... FIRE UPON THE DEEP? or something like that. I havent read much scfi lately tho.. Did anyone get thru Stephenson's QUICKSILVER Trilogy? I got thru like 2/3 of the first book lol.
hey, who's dreadkill? Ken the singer??? |
Vernor Vinge is fucking fantastic, I love both of those books. Snow Crash is amazing but I do prefer some of Stephenson's other books, Snow Crash seems a bit dated to me now but it still has its pangs of genius.
I've gotten through most of the Baroque Cycle, it works as a massive prequel to Cryptonomicon. |

Ha, that's funny because it always seemed to me like the north shore was full of metalheads. Or at least a lot more of them than anywhere else in mass. |
There are actually a lot of metalheads here, so I can't understand why you would think there weren't... |
If you're looking for this to just be a studio project for now, i'd enjoy doing drums or at least session drums for this, i'm sure dan would probably vouch for me. |
Yeah, Beorth, but they're all hiding from me lol.
tsectpathogen - thanks! Are you the one who played for them briefly last year? anthony??
I stopped by there back then. Dan said I should ask for anthony - I think it;'s anthony here,
but he;s in a lot of bands.
Well, whoever you are, yes I'm definitely interested in recording something more complex than the 2 songs I did - which are not done, but I wanna move on anyways. They;re pretty simple, but that was the best I could do with a drum mach. I'm not very good in programming more complex shit,
but that's what I wanna play. Please email me on myspace - someone already did btw, another drummer, but we havent jammed yet so I dont know if it will work out.
if you;re not on myspace, email me @ powerdrainxxx@yahoo.com
yea yea it;'s a lameass addy hehe.
GRACIAS! |
yes, that's Anthony, he's retarded behind the kit, one of the best I know. |

Yeah, I guess there are a bunch of metalheads around, but I thought most of 'em were more in Boston and Allston and whatnot. Swampscott and Marblehead are completely devoid of metalheads. |
Mark you still want that guitar? email me thru myspace, I'm too lazy to find your page. And yeah, after I record something else, I'd like to have some p[eople come in and wail some solos, so you can do that..
anthony, i sent you a email on myspace too.
